In one of the Podesta emails leaked by WikiLeaks, he flagged some comments by Hillary Clinton in her paid speeches that he identified as potentially damaging.

“Part of the problem with the political situation, too, is that there is such a bias against people who have led successful and/or complicated lives,” Hillary told Goldman Sachs on Oct. 29, 2013. “You know, the divestment of assets, the stripping of all kinds of positions, the sale of stocks.”

As usual, Hillary hits it right on the nose. A bias against the wealthy is the problem with the political situation in this country.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

Are you sick of poor people complaining louder than everyone else?
Well, the Koch Brothers has a solution for that.

The problem with most civil rights movements is that they don't pay very well.

That's about to change, thanks to billionaire industrialist Charles Koch's weekend proclamation that the causes he and his network of uber-wealthy conservative political donors embrace are akin to "past successful freedom movements."

"Look at the American revolution, the anti-slavery movement, the women's suffrage movement, the civil rights movement," Koch said. "All of these struck a moral chord with the American people. They all sought to overcome an injustice. And we, too, are seeking to right injustices that are holding our country back."

The injustices in need of righting include the minimum wage (get rid of it), environmental regulations (get rid of them), solar power (ick!), women's reproductive rights (they don't need those) and corporate taxes (booooo!).

All I can say is Thank Gawd that someone is looking out for rich people. Other than rich people.

Tank heaven rich people they have Hillary to go to bat for them!

Hillary, the (on occasion) walking embodiment of rich, white privilege. It's all she's known all her life.

Well, except for being bankrupt when she and her POTUS husband left the White House. /sarcasm

Her and Mitt Romney are on the same page on this. And we get flack from the dembots when we say there's no difference between R and D. Ok, got it.

They say that life's a game and then they take the board away

. . . she doesn't realize that these people she speaks of . . .

“You know, the divestment of assets, the stripping of all kinds of positions, the sale of stocks.”

. . . are rich, too. You have to own individual stocks (or have a massive margin account) to be able to sell them or divest yourself of them. Most Americans do not own individual stocks. If by fluke they own mutual funds in IRAs, they probably have no control beyond urging the fund company to divest of some asset group that is destroying everyone's lives and planet. Are these folks who are trying to protect a planet the ones she decries as biased?
