UVMMC nurses' strike

Hi all: This is a very quick "update" by way of a Seven Days photo essay, which captures well the initial actions on Day One. I won't be available to comment after 5pm EST, but will dutifully check back tomorrow morning.
I drove the perimeter of the main campus this morning, honking and waving, and the nurses' presence was robust, and energy high. I've seen allusions to the fact that a UPS driver, in solidarity, refused to make a delivery to the hospital; but I need to verify this before reporting it as fact.
In the meantime, those seeking ongoing coverage can visit (in descending order of independence):
*BPF is another Gannett sell-out, so their slant is obvious ... but it still helps paint a picture.
[EDIT: grammar/typos]

descending order of independence?
Descending order of independence, I assume?

As reported in Seven Days:
It's heartening to see the solidarity, especially from CVPH -- the network hospital to whom UVMMC nurses are asking to be compared.
I also received the text from Bernie's campaign.
Another group, Rights & Democracy Vermont, is calling for members of the public to picket CEO John Brumsted's office from 9-11am EST today. That office is just down the street, so I'm hoping to stop by.
