GeoEngineering has been going on for a while now . . .
This essay may be speculation. But, there is valid documentation and my personal observations of local weather suggest it. The key element, however, is that it is a missing link.
My personal observations are that the sun is frickin' hotter than it was ten years ago. We have an outside thermometer on the top of a building in full sun, and another in the shade. The difference between the two keeps growing. The other observation starting last summer is that we have more cloud cover on days with no rain. That can happen anyway, but weeks of clouds without rain? If it is cloudy, you can work outside. If not, it is immediately unbearable.

If you watch videos from GeoEngineering Watch, or go to their website, geoengineeringwatch.org, you will hear and read many of the same discussions we have here at c99 every day. I have not read and watched all of it, but so far I believe they have a valid worldview.
Missing Link
The connection I only made recently is that, of course TPTB absolutely understand the impact of the human-caused climate crisis. Donald Trump knows. It's a fun game for him. Half are arrogant enough to think that they can control the weather long enough to sell all of their oil.
The other half are arrogant enough to think their great riches can handle this problem and save themselves (perhaps others).
They are all arrogant enough to think the masses don't need to know about what they are doing. They know best.
And there are the religious "leaders" who know the climate crisis is real, but it fits so well into their narrative and is making them so much money . . . they are good with it.
We are being tricked. Without this artificial cloud cover here in Texas, we would already be seriously frying. It is just enough interference so folks do not see the interference, but blocks enough heat that few are yelling, "climate change!"
It's damned if you do, damned if you don't though. I have heard many scientists (James Hansen for example) say that cutting emmisions is not enough. Carbon will have to be removed as well.

The current geoengineering efforts are reckless and have unintended consequences. I might enjoy the momentary cloud cover, but it is a lie. It is not fixing the problem, and is probably exacerbating it.

I have been reading this website for quite some time
I'm not sure if you're talking about how the days start out without a cloud in the sky and then up to 20 planes crisscross the sky outside regular flight patterns leaving what we're supposed to believe are contrails. Then by afternoon the sky is clouded over with ....
You either believe it or you don't. I walk every day and I have been watching this happening for over a decade. I'm a believer that the weather is being modified. To what purpose I have no idea, but ...

It is different where I am in Texas
Sometimes we see those airplane trails. But I think what is happening here is a higher altitude shooting sulfur into the biosphere.

I'm watching the videos now.
I just assumed what I see high up in the sky leaving contrails were either military or longer distance flights up high as I am near the flight path to Sea Tac. But I have seen more trails that cross each other and while they aren't as blatant as the videos, the fact that Wigington lives in WA makes me realize that may very well be what I see. Of course it makes total sense for our owners, keep us blinded to the real devastation just long enough to pull the rest of the oil out of the ground, gotta get that money, fuck the future. Wow.

we need to be planting trees to "geoengineer"
...instead of jet trails. We need carbon sinks. And of course to get off fossil fuels. I just don't see it happening.

Good movie! Never knew
the name of it,
and have never seen it beginning to end. One of those movies I catch on Cable now and then and usually watch for a few minutes or longer. I've seen the ending many times but never the beginning. No spoilers, but the story is basically about this train that goes 'round and 'round in circles and the people on it are the planet's last. Worth a look see!

The main part of his speech is on what happens to whistle-blowers who have signed secrecy agreements. That is really interesting too . . . About 2/3 of the way in he says that geoengineering by the Air Force has been going on for about 20 years.
In my mind, it makes sense. Since Exxon knew about global warming decades ago, they were never ignorant about the implications. They just fully believe they can "have their cake and eat it too." They believe they can control it. They don't want their children to die any more than anyone else.
Keeping the masses ignorant while they are "fixing everything" is an important part of their strategy.
So, I have been sitting around scratching my head for several years now thinking, "if they know all of this, why aren't they doing anything?" and "how can they look science in the face and not act?"
It is because they are acting and they are doing something. However, it is not wise because the force behind it is greed, not benevolence.
The religious people are another story. They want the tribulation to come. Yikes!
