Deutsche Bank now officially in trouble

Just two days ago I warned about Deutsche Bank.
It appears that I was a little bit ahead of the curve, because this morning regulators agreed with me.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has added Deutsche Bank’s federally insured U.S. business to a list of banks with weaknesses serious enough to endanger their financial viability, the person said Thursday, confirming reports by the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal. The Fed’s decision dates from a year ago, according to the Journal.

As you might imagine, the markets responded with panic selling.

In Frankfurt trading, the group’s shares were down as much as 8.1 per cent at €9.07. It marked the lowest print on an intraday basis since September 30, 2016, according to Reuters data. The lender has tumbled more than 40 per cent for the year to date as it faces a series of challenges.

If only I took my own advice and shorted this stock.

It's primary season. If it can't get more traffic during primary season then what good is it?

@gjohnsit
Propping up the establishment is the MSM’s job. TOP was supposed to cater to the Democratic base, in accordance with what said base desired to promote.

Kos foolishly embraced the inverted totalitarianism model to impose the Democratic establishment’s will unto the base. Did he really think he could spurn allies because we had no where else to go? Did he really think low-information “undecided” voters would gravitate there in search of red meat?

@FutureNow @FutureNow TOP decided that it would define what a democrat is, and got rid of or discouraged what they said a democrat ain't. So, if you subtract, you end up with something smaller. I guess some "democrats" suck at math.

@Snode

I guess some "democrats" suck at math.

And some, who are known as despots, just plain suck.

Then the clincher: “Saying you won’t vote, or will vote for Trump, or will vote for Jill Stein (or another Third Party) is not allowed,” Kos declares.”If that’s how you feel, but have other places in which you can be constructive on the site, then keep your presidential feelings to yourself,” the Daily Kos despot states.

And then, instead of taking Morphine or Oxycodone for the pain, Kos gobbled 50 Aspirin (an anticoagulant) while doubling-down on the source of that pain.

And the numbers show it.

it's now doing less double-plus ungood to society than it was with more of a readership, back when it was more plausible as an information source.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

It would be fun to drop that chart without comment into a diary over there.

How soon before the rest of the banks follow suit?

@Ellen North And our gjohnsit is more prudent than to expose money to a stock short that you wouldn't safely gamble playing blackjack in Las Vegas.

@thanatokephaloides

my gambling's limited to lottery tickets which I might not check for 6 months, since I tend not to do that until I can get another to keep the fantasy alive - and I've never had stocks or had to keep the terminology straight. Very glad if he didn't!

@thanatokephaloides
is that it's rigged.

Simple as that.

@gjohnsit

The problem with the stock market today is that it's rigged.

Simple as that.

I trust you know better than to wager critically important monies (i.e., that you can't afford to lose outright) in rigged games like this one!
