The Anti-war Movement Picks Up Steam
Here it comes:
As of now, the Pentagon and US leadership are in denial and not ready to face reality. The people of the United States, in solidarity with people of the world, must act now to end the war culture and convince US leadership that a new path is necessary.
Join the days of action!
April 14-15 – National Days Of Action to End the Wars at Home and Abroad.
October 20-21 – Women's March on the Pentagon
November 10 – 12 – No Trump Military Parade
This came at the end of an excellent Counterpunch article:
No word yet on the War Powers vote due in the Senate today:
With a vote expected later on Tuesday, and as the Senate debates a joint resolution that aims to end U.S. support for the Saudi-led bombing of Yemen, peace advocates are urging Americans to immediately call their representatives in Congress to back the legislation.

Forty Days of Action to Fight Poverty
Which includes an end to military spending as a fundamental necessity to end poverty.

"They'll say we're disturbing the peace, but there is no peace. What really bothers them is that we are disturbing the war." Howard Zinn
Great news, thanks M M.
A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.

This must be a simple coinkydink
So much needs stopping. DSA retweeted:

Our representatives in the Senate weigh-in on Yemen
And the results are neither good nor surprising. Ten Democrat Senators voted to table the bill: http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/379392-senate-sides-with-trump-on-pro....
The Usual Suspects:
Funny how none of these groups like ANSWER
organize protests against the two political parties that get us into these wars.
Interesting Idea Big Al
Never heard of that. Has it ever been done?
"They'll say we're disturbing the peace, but there is no peace. What really bothers them is that we are disturbing the war." Howard Zinn
I'm not aware of any large scale national protests
Cindy Sheehan's Women's march specifically mentions it will not be a mouthpiece for the democratic party.
The other one protesting the military parade is a good thing but the same organizations have been organizing protests in D.C. for years and it just doesn't work.
Obviously.
More Better Protests
I just had a thought about tying the Anti-war message to a third party vote.
"They'll say we're disturbing the peace, but there is no peace. What really bothers them is that we are disturbing the war." Howard Zinn
Sometimes apparently bad things work out well
I'm pretty sure that many previous hardcore Hillbots are realizing that their Dear Leader is effing crazy. Her monomaniacal speech in Mumbai excusing herself of her own colossal failure yet again has many former supporters wondering if she hasn't gone on a ride on The Crazy Train. Even keeping her 3 falls out of consideration, her verbiage must be starting to wear thin even amongst the faithful.
Widespread desertions by Dims from voting, as opposed to voting for the hated Drumpf, will doom marginal Dim candidates in close districts. It's Guns Or Butter--people are tired of eating gun smoke.
