Vermont flips Jeff Sessions the bird

Just days after AG Jeff Sessions declared war on marijuana, Vermont became the ninth state to legalize.
Defying Jeff Sessions’ escalating war on weed, Vermont just took another step toward legalizing recreational marijuana — and it will be the first state to do so through its Legislature rather than a ballot initiative.
Vermont’s Senate approved a bill legalizing limited adult consumption and home cultivation of marijuana Wednesday afternoon, after its House of Representatives approved the measure last week. The bill, which does not allow for retail sales, now heads to the desk of Republican Gov. Phil Scott, who has previously said he would sign it.
....The move comes on the heels of neighboring New Hampshire’s own weed bill, which received preliminary approval Tuesday in the state’s House of Representatives.
New Jersey is also considering legalization.
Pot is extremely popular right now, and now the Trump administration has put itself against popular opinion and state's rights.
So you can just imagine how the Democrats are loudly opposing this Trump policy, right?

As long as the Big Pharma controls our government, there will be that federalized push for criminalized Pot nationwide as they hate competition that can be had for free.
So long, and thanks for all the fish
The Dems will never fight the
The Dems will never fight the repubs on the real strong issues because they are owned by the same interests, so the Washington Generals will make a few nice shots and put on a good show, but they will never make a hard end game push, not because they are inept, but because they arent supposed to actually win.
Both sides pretty much only push fake scandals because if its a real scandal they are both involved anyway so rather not draw attention. The Dems are in an extra sticky spot because they had that majority for a bit where they could do more than talk a good game, so it made it too obvious they werent real opposition and the last thing they want is to have to do is throw another airball on a lay up to prevent what they pretend they want.
The dems much prefer half court shots from behind, much easier to keep the illusion that way, Obamas self negotiation to keep the public option 'off the table' made too many people take notice, they learned if you dont want to win dont risk being in a winning position
I'm moving to Vermont this spring. Can't wait!
It's not just about their cannabis laws, it's also about how beautiful the state and her people can be. As I live next door to Vermont in upstate NY, I've been visiting Vermont for decades and have never had a bad time there. I'm a small town/country boy and the practically the whole state is that way. No place is perfect but Vermont is closest for me. And, YES, I can finally stop feeling like a criminal for growing my own medicine and using the safest drug on the planet for my chronic pain caused by spine arthritis. For all the people who complained to me that Vermonters drive too slow, I have your reason; MOOSE!
The real SparkyGump has passed. It was an honor being your human.
An advance welcome
Thanks! Love your avatar.
I've been a Bernie fan since I saw him tear Greenspan a new one.

Heh. And worse ...
Is this what's called cannabis-ism?
Yea, there's no bigger rush than having a Moose
step in front of you while driving. I now drive just like the locals when I'm there.

The Guvmint going to
