playing any media, and my mind does a flip-flop at the bottom image. Clearly the ass end of a rocket, looking up at the nozzles, but wait, context, and detail, it is some sort of carillion, ah hells bells, as they used to say, and just where the hell did that phrase come from. So, I try google and there is a ton of crap, but, essentially, nobody knows. My dad used it a lot, is it perhaps Irish? More look-up action and no, but it is 1) a band and 2) a song, so any research is complicated by a myriad of references to each of same.

Ah well, fuck it. That's where early morning free-association will take you, I could get stuck here all day, but I can't and hence won't.

Ah, Naomi Klein, on the mark, except that it presumes that we're selling democracy. We aren't, that is a tale the powers-that-be tell our credulous populace to make them think that our imperialism, economic, cultural, political and otherwise is something benign and even beneficial. If we're so big on democracy, why then don't we practice it here at home? We never have and likely never will. We are grown out of a colony founded by colonizers with a colonial mind set and ethics, regardless of the enlightenment gloss sprayed atop of reality like some cheap veneer.
