Alpha's Florida Democratic Debate Live Blog
Submitted by Alphalop on Wed, 03/09/2016 - 4:30pm
Tonight I will be doing another live blog since I had so much fun doing last nights MI Election one!
I will start probably 30 minutes or so (appx 8:30 EST) before the commencement of the debate and hope to see a bunch of you there!
Keep feeling the BERN and catch you guys and gals in a few hours!
Have an Amazing day and remember to:
(Now I am off to smoke some meat!)
Comments
It was a blast watching the debate with you guys!
Had a lot of fun reading the comments, it was like having a bunch of friends over for a debate watching party.
TYT Agrees, Bernie is KILLING IT!

Thanks, alphalop! Let's do it again, eh.

Liveblogging incurs risks to mind and spirit though.
I think I’m still traumatized from getting so involved in liveblogging the Arab Spring (I was one of the regulars in the “Eyes on Egypt and the Region” group on GOS).
When the democracy movement in Bahrain was crushed with Saudi tanks and American blessings, it was as if people I knew where being beaten and killed right in front of me and me powerless to do anything.
And things only went downhill from there.
It wasn’t long before the Obama administration would concoct a fake Arab Spring narrative as cover for the destruction of Libya, Syria, and Yemen by Saudi proxies.
Our friends the Saudis — the total antithesis of democracy and pluralism. The kind of ego we mock in a Trump, taken to its monarchical extreme, and look at the way we Americans and Europeans kiss their ass (now including Erdogan’s Turkish ass).
It’s sickening.
That was great...
thank you~

Thanks for the setup Alpha
First time I couldn't watch a debate on the boob or net this year.
Listened to it and wish I had seen it
For many of the debates, I could see why those who stand for Bernie or Hillary thought each had won.
Tonight, the one tenth of one percent got hammered.
Good times coming.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.

I'll just drop this here in case anyone wants to loop it

That was so frigging epic
SO epic.

I wish I was an artist I would love to draw the HeisenBernie image.

a lot of
rapid eye movement and nervous facial tics. I thought maybe her Lucy Jordan moment had arrived.
The logic circuits were definitely shorting. She tried to convince us he is a Koch brother who supports Fidel Castro.
Where I REALLY noticed the eye movement
was when the moderator kept asking her if she would deport the children. On the third or fourth try, the eyes went nuts as she looked for an escape, and then she finally came to a new policy decision (as far as I know), and said "No, I won't deport the children."
"I’m a human being, first and foremost, and as such I’m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.” —Malcolm X
Next will be the assertion
Next will be the assertion that she didn't in fact advocate for deporting children.
yes
She did not want to answer the question. The eyes were looking for any mode or means of escape. But the moderator made it clear that all time and space would hang suspended, until she answered. So she blurted out what she figured those Mean brown people peppering her with the Bad questions wanted to hear. Now she will have to write the answer on her hand, so she will remember it in the morning.
Hey, Guys! Well, if you're signing off
for the evening, I'll just leave a link here to the transcript of tonight's Dem Debate. I'll be reading it, listening to the post-Debate analysis, and leaving my remarks I have--either this evening, or tomorrow morning.
As usual, I'm disappointed that none of the questioners brought up the myriad of cuts to our Social Safety Net made as a result of the Bowles-Simpson Fiscal Commission.
I'll be posting at EB (soon) on the cuts to pensions that were just voted on and passed, resulting in the first cuts in pension benefits for current (or already retired) federal pensioners.
I think I'm about to 'OD' on Debates. We've not only listened to all the Dem Debates, but we've also listened to all the 11 Republican Debates (I think there's another one tomorrow--ugh!).
If anything jumps out at me, I'll leave a remark (for tomorrow).
Good night, All.

I'm hanging out for a bit just watching the post debate
coverage on TYT and just generally blathering about.

I don't think people are aware of the cuts...
these things used to be reported on, they made news, not so much anymore.

You're probably right, Triv. I hope that we
can change that.
I'm rather tied up, and stressed out, at this time (trying to settle my Brother's personal, and family business affairs, and therefore, traveling a lot), but I hope to post over at Joe's on some, if not most, of the cuts that I referenced above, SOMETIME before the General Election!
I'll use you Guys at EB as the canaries in the mine, so to speak, if you don't mind. (Just kidding!)
Seriously, I fear what another Clinton Administration would do to our already frayed Social Safety Net.
Hey, gotta turn off CNN. I'll try MSNBC for a while. Talk about being in the tank for FSC--whew!
Hey, they are--CNN, that is--saying that both candidates will need to come together, and sing Kumbaya, soon! I sure hope not!
Later.

thank you Alphalop and all of y'all 99ers
Had a great time watching TYT and checking in here from time to time as I put groceries away and cut up vegies.
Love you guys!!!

Thanks! A really good idea to give notice of your 'live thread'
in the afternoon.
Also, appreciated the link that you furnished at EB (Evening Blues)--where many of us here [this evening] regularly hang out.
The transcript is quite interesting. Hope folks check it out. I often learn more from reading their words, than watching or listening to them--fewer distractions.
Have a nice evening.
