It's annoying, frustrating and unfair. It's somebody making assumptions about you based upon your skin tone and gender presentation. It's not "reverse racism" of any shape. It's just racism, and considered acceptable to the center because of lobbying groups that demand their inclusion or political consequences will ensue.

You of course can't talk about history because that too was written by rich white guys, and even if your ethnicity WAS discriminated against, it doesn't matter because apparently some history of oppressed peoples are more important than others.

And while we angrily blame each other for the actions of biased elected officials, (Because this one IS discrimination perpetrated by an elected official) they continue to happily give the jobs to whoever they feel like and use representation as an excuse. I have come to realize that the Left does not focus on "political identity" much at all. Humankind is about as granular as the Left gets, politically. The Left is oriented to the bigger picture and the longer view. They are the authentic "Big Tent" movement. Humanity's well-being is their thing.

The well-being of humanity is not a popular issue Right of the divide. They're oriented to tribes, namely the one they identify with. They are forever seeking a certain freedom ideal that they call "liberty." Apparently there is not enough liberty to supply it to all humans, so they put up borders so humanity doesn't try to steal theirs. Nationalism is their thing. "USA, USA, USA!"

Liberalism has been mistakenly associated with the Left — but Liberals are positioned across the entire spectrum, from Left to Right. They are into "liberty," too — the liberty to exploit low-hanging-fruit for capitalist gain, anywhere in the world, even at home. They invite humanity to move freely, wherever they are needed to serve the extraction of capital. They do it in a friendly way, except when they start the profit-seeking wars they can't finish. Capitalism is their thing.

Back to identity issues and victimitude — you need to look to the Democratic Party for those. Democrats are the ones who exploit identity issues. Prioritizing the social and civic rights of specific minorities is their key political strategy, domestically. They champion equal social treatment for minority groups identifiable through specific physical differences — gender, sexuality, race, and a recent rising star, embryos. Democrats are the domestic superheros of minority rights and equality, except for national income equality. Their economic and foreign policies are entirely situational — as is their moral compass — depending on their donors. Getting top dollars from corporations and the proxies of select foreign entities is their thing.

I am a member of the Left, I suppose.

If they do recruit such, they will be in extremely small numbers and the stories will be publicized 24/7 from sea to shining sea. In other words, the recruitment will be for the purpose of re-tooling their image and not for the purpose of improving conditions, or political representation, for people of color.

They are obviously uninterested in advocating for the actually oppressed people of color out there--witness what they did for the Ferguson kids while their entire city turned into a war zone and their friends were being gunned down by cops in what can only be called state-sanctioned murder. They gave them a photo-op with Barack Obama and Eric Holder, and a nice task force. In other words, crap nothing.

These assholes want to make it seem like they're siding with people of color against white people. That would be shitty politics and, in my opinion, bad ethics to begin with. But since it's a goddamned lie, that doesn't really matter, does it--because nothing they're saying is real.
