Open Thread: Creative Home Business Names and Other Suggestions

As I mentioned a few days ago, my mother-in-law seems to think that a home business involving conversion of obselete media formats such as photos, VHS, old slides and so on would be profitable. Perhaps I do as well.

The trouble I have is coming up with a name. Maybe a creative name isn't necessary. All I really wanna tell people is that I'm offering a services and my prices are fair and honest.

The other thing I worry about is taking on too much for a single person to handle and I'd rather not burden others with any extra work.

This seems to be the only option I have left as no business will hire me no matter how many resumes I put in. Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.

See ya around,

Aspie

you would be surprised at the amount of business you can generate. I didn't even try, but somehow a sight caught my (old) business as handyman, and calls still come in. get over the fear of failure. this isn't a test. give it a shot. takes courage to start from nothing. done it a few times in this ride called life. hasn't disappointed yet. just a little putting it out there can yield enough for you to handle on your own. if it get's too much, then employ your friends. it's what i do. a lot of organising to start, but get's easier as the projects go thru. Good luck. This is the way to the future.

Perhaps "John's Video Transfer", ( of course you could substitute John's with your own name ). Print some business cards explaining exactly what you do, anyway it sounds like you wouldn't have to invest a lot so sounds like it would be worth a shot.

Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.
Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.

@earthling1

Hey, just want to say that that's a cool name suggestion! Kinda science-fiction-y.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

Modern education is little more than toeing the line for the capitalist pigs.

Guerrilla Liberalism won't liberate the US or the world from the iron fist of capital.

Perfect! Says it all!

"Something old, something new..." quote?

Perhaps, "Something blue media recovery" or some other riff on that?

A lot of wanderers in the U.S. political desert recognize that all the duopoly has to offer is a choice of mirages. Come, let us trudge towards empty expanse of sand #1, littered with the bleached bones of Deaniacs and Hope and Changers.
