Is Clinton Trying to Impugn the Integrity of a Dead Sanders Supporter? (updated)
Whenever one publishes a revisionist history book that is likely to get the attention of the media as well as the general population, there are various ways to promote the book.
The first one, which is very common, is to leak out inflammatory pages or excerpts for titillative purposes. This works very well with Establishment media and navel gazing types.
Another avenue is to be booked on a talk show. Talk hosts are generally more than willing to book a politician or sometimes a provocateur (as Bill Maher does) who has written a book that will garner interest, or in the case of TV shows, obtain higher AC Nielsen ratings.
The most traditional way is to have a book talk tour to promote the work. Sometimes the talk makes it to cable or satellite TV (or internet) through C-SPAN’s Book TV channel. But generally, it is the publisher who pays for promotions such as ads via newspapers, internet outlets, or cardboard displays within the book store. The book store sells tickets or has sign ups for the book talk. Sometimes they are sold to the general public on the Internet if there is perceived or pent-up demand.
Politicians have been known to send out e-mails via their PACS to promote tours. John Edwards did it through OneAmerica PAC in 2006 and there are probably Republicans who have done this too. But today, I wasn’t aware any pol would be so desperate in promoting their book tour until I saw from a tweet by Miami Gator, who posted a letter he got through an e-mail from Onward Together, Hillary Clinton’s PAC.

I believe she has a right to speak about her own feelings about the 2016 election. But trying to profit off a 2nd degree murder of a woman who was counterprotesting against the American Nazis in Charlottesville makes Clinton appear very needy as well as greedy for money. Heather Heyer's (who was incidentally, a Bernie supporter) death is not the way to promote a book tour. It is PR malpractice on her publisher's part and completely undermines what little moral authority Clinton possessed after recent leaks from her book reveal her disdain for Bernie Sanders because he challenged her in the Democratic Party. She continues to use poor judgement in her self-actualization process.
This is beyond tone-deafness. As a Democratic Socialist, I'm appalled by this shameless self-promoter who obviously isn't following the golden rule, especially after giving a speech last night about her faith at Riverside Church last night.
She owes Ms. Heyer's family an apology. What Clinton did via that e-mail demeans the memory of that courageous woman and what she stood for: being against hate. Thus, she should turn every penny she makes from the tour to help the victims of hate as well as those afflicted by the terrible storms that are beleaguering our country at present, but the proceeds should not be donated to the Clinton Foundation. She could donate through what charities are being supported by her spouse's and 4 other ex-presidents are promoting, OneAmerica Appeal.
Update: a TPW blogger saw this video by David Doel, The Rational National vlogger, who points out another contradiction of Clinton's MO for sending out this e-mail along the same theme I laid out. It's 4 minutes long, but Doel further deconstructs it succinctly.

The Clintons have never followed the rules. They will scream and fall to their fainting couches at the slightest hint of impropriety among their opponents, but any demands that they do the same will be met with endless delays, arguments, and appeals to authorities which also claim that the rules don't apply IN THIS CASE.
