The Third Way scum suckers have popped their heads out of the Septic tank and decided what's wrong with the Dimocritic Party

Get to Work, Democrats: Become the Jobs Party

TAKEAWAYS

Americans don’t see Democrats as the party of jobs. This wasn’t always the case, but today it’s undeniable—and unsustainable if the Party’s going to recover from its historic electoral hole.

Third Way’s three-day, online focus groups of Obama-Trump and Rising American Electorate voters revealed the depth of Democrats’ jobs problem and identified three major reasons for it:

1. Voters feel the Party is not looking out for the middle and working class. Instead, it’s prioritizing the poor (and to some extent, the rich).

2. Voters intuitively view Democrats as anti-business.

3. While many voters support Democrats on social causes, they want the Party to focus on jobs first.

Democrats have struggled with the jobs issue for almost a decade, and the Party was not equipped to challenge Donald Trump’s zealous pro-jobs message in 2016. Democrats’ lesson from Trump must be to actively and impassionedly seek out the title of “the jobs party.”

*

Participants came to this conclusion for three reasons. The first: they said Democrats are not looking out for the middle and working class and their interests. Rather, they viewed the Party as prioritizing the interests of the poor and, in some ways, the rich. Secondly, they intuitively viewed Democrats as anti-business, which in their minds meant anti-jobs as well. Finally, they said the Party’s focus on social issues—many of which they actually support—has come at the expense of attention to a superseding issue in their minds: jobs.

Listen to these liars. The damn Dims have been telling us since Obama's first term how FANTASTIC they did bringing the country back from the disaster that their Wall Street johns caused when they stole everything they could from half this damn planet. We needed a jobs program when their ringer Old Hopey-Changey was first elected. Instead we got a crap healthcare insurance mess that was falling apart before it even went into effect. Now listen to these fools.

To hear these slugs talk you would have thought that Hopey-Changey really did something great in the area of job creation instead of what really happened. We became a nation of low-wage burger flippers and motel maids. And what about outsourcing? They loved them some cheap foreign help for the 'good' jobs like in the tech field. Americans are too stupid and lazy so they've been bringing in foreign workers who will do these jobs on the cheap. And the old baggage that they fielded during the last presidential election is a HUGE fan of outsourcing. Do these pond scum sucking elitists think we're all too stupid to understand how badly we're being screwed? Do they think we're totally unaware of the conditions under which we live? (That was a pointless question because they don't care.)

I won't make a fuss about their bitching about doing anything for the poor. Because truthfully, they haven't done a damn thing for us So far, so why would they start now? We know what they think of us. I do believe that the term 'useless eaters' has been used to describe us. These people would rather give up their left tit or testicle than to try to make it a little easier, safer, or fairer for the Great Unwashed.

Their hateful, condescending opinion of us is not new. They have just gotten brave enough to be open about how expendable and unworthy they think we are. And so my question to them is "Did you ever see Clockwork Orange?" Apparently their arrogance makes them ignorant to what always happens when a country's 'aristocracy' gets way to big for its britches. When people have nothing to lose is when crazy things like riots and revolutions occur.

Someone needs to remind them that Hopey Changey was one of THEIRS. And that's why they are out of power in the the House, Senate, Governorships, as well as state and local offices. These people's greed and arrogance is so bad that they are toxic. Dangerous to human life. And the Clinton pay-for-pay warmonger that couldn't even beat Trump is one of theirs too.

We need to see that every candidate they shit out from now until Hell freezes over comes out like the Clinton Creature. A big fat loser.

Too late for the middle class anyway since it's fast disappearing after the healthy dose of Hope and Change. As for the poor, ain't gonna happen as there's no money in it.

Frankly, I'd just as soon see the Democrats continue their illicit relationship with Wall Street. The more people realize what they're up to, the quicker their demise ... and the sooner we can get together as the 99% and organize something that represents us, not the 1%.

The Democrats are likely finished after 2018 without a tremendously radical -- and I mean R-A-D-I-C-A-L -- change of heart. I don't see it happening, or even see any hint of it. They're still talking about "... the message." The core is rotten. 100%, completely rotten.

@travelerxxx They're too addicted to let go. And too fucking clueless to understand that the rest of us clearly see through any "party of jobs" bullshit they spew. (Actually, let me amend that: their hubris prevents them from seeing that we're onto them. They actually think they can make us believe their empty "promises.").

Say, that reminds me of the Catholic Baptismal Rite!

We could rework a bit of that text:

Do you renounce Satan the Turd Way?
And all its "works"?
And all its pomps?
And all its empty promises?

I also tell you this: unless the Dems take and keep that oath, and fast, the national scene will bear a nasty resemblance to this one:

In and overstaying Johnson's war on poverty to free market, war mongering, Wall Street whores. The middle/working class got screwed either way, and the cost and impact of these two things came squarely off the backs of the middle class.

Jobs that employers won't train for or don't pay a self sufficient wage are totally useless. Health care andfree university are two benefits that the middle class needs and companies will directly benefit from.

I centered on WHO they were asking these questions.
A group of Obama/Trump voters was one. This group could be discounted because they flat hated Clinton and probably would have voted for Bush or even Kasich had they survived the Republican primary. Solid center right capitalists, revealed by their unwavering support for trickle down. Their comments regarding lower taxes and rules for businesses always bring jobs was repeated several times. These people aren't Democrats, they are DNC corporatist.
The other group was what was left of the DNC Democrat Party. After Demexit. The solid Clinton supporters, whether because of the "First woman" cadre or those who just pull the lever for the "D" candidate.
A pronounced absence was anyone on the left. Genuine progressives. Those who formerly were their base. The ones who either voted for Stein or simply stayed home. Us.
Essentially, they were polling losers who had no idea why they lost.
Kind of like deer in the headlights;
What's that coming.
I don't know. Let's just stand here and see.
Yeah, that's what we should do.
I'll not follow them anywhere.

What's that coming.
I don't know. Let's just stand here and see.

I'll add to the "DNC deer in the headlights" mindset:

Nothing should be in the road.
Therefore nothing is in the road.

People shouldn't be focused on jobs.

Let's ignore indications that they're focused on jobs, because they shouldn't be focused on jobs, therefore they really aren't focused on jobs.

Huh. That's not working this time.

OK, let's change the message.

Huh. That's not working either. They don't like the new message. But they should like the message.

Let's shame and bully the American people into not being worried about what they shouldn't be worried about.

Uh oh, that's not working either. But it should work. People should do what we want. This shouldn't be happening. So it's not happening.

DNC in the headlights' brain goes *tilt*.

Talk about a failure to be in reality. They can't see it and don't want to see it. No wonder they're so ineffective and have no structural integrity (rotten at the core).

I missed that part there:

1. Voters feel the Party is not looking out for the middle and working class. Instead, it’s prioritizing the poor (and to some extent, the rich).

Maybe when Bill Clinton continued Reagan's war against the mythical Welfare Queen, by changing Food Stamps to Snap? Maybe helping the poor by building prisons instead of low income housing?

I guess the whole issue of identity politics just never came up, because that's not a glitch, it's a feature.

To some extent prioritizing the rich? Like Obama's itsy, bitsy Wall Street Bailout? Maybe Qualitative Easing was the part where Obama prioritized the poor?

Sweet Jesus on a pogo stick. They want to match Trump's Bullshit Brigade. Did they pass out red MAGA hats?

@Meteor Man As in "the Democrats prioritized destroying the few remaining safety nets for the poor". I think they just left out those crucial few words. Honest mistake, I'm sure.

REAGAN SEEKS WELFARE PLAN TO FREE POOR FROM GOVERNMENT DEPENDENCY
when he called the poor people who were on welfare queens. He was the first president that cut the welfare funding as well as many other cuts to the programs that helped them.

But it was the first black president that destroyed what was left of it:

How a Democrat Killed Welfare

Bill Clinton’s 1992 election was meant to be a turning point in American politics. Liberals breathed a sigh of relief, believing him to be a much-needed break from the Reagan-Bush era of “small government” and social welfare cuts.

But the optimism surrounding Clinton’s election — and favorable assessments of his time in office since — ignore the destruction his administration brought to poor and working people, especially African Americans, and mask not only the continuation but intensification of anti-poor policies. Rather than offering a reprieve from punitive austerity, Clinton took the Reagan-Bush agenda a step further. If his administration was a turning point, it turned us in the wrong direction.

This is just part of the damage that the Clintons inflicted on this country and the effects from this is still being felt today.
Anyone who has been convicted of a felony can not get public housing. This punishes the person twice. Once when they served their sentences, and again after they were released from prison.
In fact it can punish the whole family because if a person who has a record lives with their families and the authorities find out, the whole family is eliminated from getting housing.
Or if a person who is living in public housing gets charged with a felony, again the whole family is kicked out.

Read this article to see the other damage these two deranged people inflicted on this country.

Anti-business? The Democrats, perhaps, but they're dead as doornails. The NEW Democrats, the Clintonians and the rest of the DLC are the party of business, the said so and they walked that talk. De-regulation, NAFTA, etc.

@enhydra lutris Assuming arguendo the sincerity of the statement, Obamacare is one prime example. Much of the talk of its benefits was about subsidies for the poor, etc., while it was clear that a lot of struggling people would not be eligible for same and also wouldn't be able to pay the premium. When you add in the cadillac tax, obamacare took from the working class even more (of course, that has not yet gone into effect).

I still say Piracy is a good theme we should go with. An honest letter of marque and reprisal against the Corporations that have declared war on the 99%. We will run up the Jolly Roger and demand they heave to and prepare to have their overseas holdings plundered!

We will of course be happy to ransom them back. We're Pirates, not Murderers. The object of this is to run up a nice tidy profit which we can share with the crew. Of course we get a double share, it was OUR idea. You get over 500 shares in your corporation, so don't talk shit, Mr. CEO.
