Friday Night Photos. Almost a triple.

I have a few pictures of single and double rainbows. Most show the spectrum of colors within each rainbow. This is an oddball for heavy contrast and lack of distinct colors. Why this picture came about is truly the fun.
Can you see how it came about?
Clue 1: Look at the fields and grass below.
Clue 2: Look for the aura in the sky.
Happy clicking shutterbugs.

A shot of the surface of the planet Erg,
just below the noxious clouds of pure Klyntonium, that deny any responsibility/wrongdoing for the wretched state of Erg's atmosphere.

Gëzuar!!

Is that embroidery?
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Thanks
One of my mother's 'free embroidery' pieces.

Nice shot of the planet Erg BR
I'm great at multi-tasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and procrastinate all at the same time.
So good!
Your macro of the hand sewn stitches are amazing.
And to really finish the night off, we have micro from Social.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
A fly in the ointment
This Green Bottle fly Paid me a visit the other day.

I have
so much to learn.
Micro is my current fascination. Or as some would say "close up to small shit."
Thanks for the fly.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
You're welcome Pricknick
Everything I've learned about macro photography I learned here, http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-102-1.html
Lots of good people there willing to help you learn and improve.

Trees
These pictures were taken with my phone camera. I'm going to start taking my smaller camera on my nightly walks. I wish I had brought it tonight because the sunset and clouds were amazing.
I took a few photos anyway and hopefully some of the pictures will be okay.
This is the tree that I have been photographing during my walks at the cemetery.
Early spring.
Early summer
This week
This is another fun tree.

And this little guy
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?
Hello all.
black-necked stilt
western sandpipers
These little guys are called 'peeps'. No, really! Isn't that just the most adorable thing?? (Lifers!)
We went back to see the young blue herons on the electric tower; there were at least a dozen of them up there.
This shit is bananas.
Nice
Love the photo of the herons. Do you print and frame your pictures?
I changed that picture to b&w and it looks way cool.
When are you moving? Is your offer for guests still open?
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?
@snoopydawg The herons are at Lee
I'd have to run it by my mom, but as it is right now there isn't extra room in the house. Hubby and I are going to try to clean up the house, but that's why I was thinking tent city type thing. Although that wouldn't work very well in the winter months. We're moving the middle of August.
This shit is bananas.
Once again,
your pictures of the Blue Herons haunt me.
I'd much rather see them nesting on a river.
But it's a good haunt. Thankz for the pics.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
They are very good at adapting.
This shit is bananas.
I was joking about your mom's house
Is there a reason for why you are moving? I'm sure that living here is a bit of a cultural shock, but I enjoy the scenery and the seasons. I lived in the Central Valley of California and by the 3rd year I was tired of it being 110 degrees at the end of October at 6 pm. I wish that I could have afforded to live in mill valley which is across the bat from San Francisco. The weather there was perfect.
I had a doctor who worked in MV and after my appointments I would explore the area.
This waterfall is in the middle of the town.
Big Lots have a great assortment of frames for as low as $4. I have a lot of frames from there that are waiting for pictures. They have 3x5 to 11x14 frames. Mpix prices for prints are pretty low.
I use it to print my photos when people buy them from my website.
Shipping is higher than the pictures.
I'm waiting for another big sale to order one for myself.
I have a frame for a 20-30 print.
I also have a professional mat cutter and can cut my own mats.
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?
Many reasons.
This shit is bananas.
Don’t know how the rainbow came about,
but it looks like you found its ‘pot of gold’.
Greetings from Florida …
Thanks Pricknick.
Cool bird. I don't think I've seen a pink bird
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?
@snoopydawg It's a roseate
This shit is bananas.
I believe it's a Roseate Spoonbill

Daenerys and Social were right, naturally.
Your treat.
How often have you seen a rainbow when the sun was in front of you?
Fleeting and rare. I got lucky. No gold though.
That pic you sent me was of passion fruit? From home not floriduh?
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Does anyone want to help Pricknick identify this Florida fruit?
; ).
Yep. I should have taken my camera
Sunsets over the Great Salt lake from Ogden, UT are incredible. This was taken from the bench area of Ogden 40 years ago with a Pentax camera and a 50 mm lens.

Another heron photo
This isn't mine, it's one I saw on FB but I just love it and wanted to share it with you all:
This shit is bananas.

A river huron.
Why do I fell sorry for those nesting on power poles?
It aint natural is my guess.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Bird nests on power poles
