Remember Omran? He's now safe at home.

His father tells his story.
Eventually the truth comes out. Where have all the "humanitarian" hawks who were supporting the so-called "rebels" gone? All I hear are crickets. These fuckers got fooled again. They never seem to learn and they will never admit they fucked up. This is why we have war after war after war.
How the hell can we keep those fucking American "peacekeepers" out of the country so it can be rebuilt?

I thought that this was well-known by now
The whole Omran PR blitz was fake, just like everything else the White Helmets put out. The Syrian press covered the family, above as you posted.
An Nahar, a Lebanese (Sunni) news outlet was delving into CT trying to explain this, saying that Omran's family was probably being forced to do this interview, etc etc. He looks fine.
The media didn't get fooled though, I think they know very well when and how they are lying. That bimbo on CNN reminds me of Effie Trinket.
"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."
The majority of Aleppi's are Sunni and they support Assad
Most of the bimbo's and bimbettes on the MSM don't have a clue. They just read (and believe) the crap they are given. As does more than half of the population.
Except 'believe' implies

The Russian Foreign Ministry is challenging
Christiane Amanpour to go and interview the Daqneesh family. Amanpour cynically exploited the fake story and photos of Omran during an interview with Lavrov. I am absolutely certain that she is too big a coward to do it.
I encourage everyone to ask her to.

Create an impression and move on
I see relatively little concern for the truth in the corporate media these days and the same is true, although to a much, much smaller extent in the alternative media. This brings to mind a quote from George H. W. Bush when it was pointed out that he had lied in a debate (I think a VP debate with Geraldine Ferraro). I do not have time to look up the quote. Maybe others can find it if it has not disappeared into the vast memory hole, but it was something like, "If you have to lie to make a point, you lie. If it is ever corrected it will be on page 15 and few will notice." Images and simple narratives create an impression that sticks in the brains of millions. There are probably a few hundred thousand of us that care enough to follow up and find out the truth. The malevolent powers that be understand how this works. Some of the corporate media talking heads know what is going on. Others are simply stooges.
True enough
