but we are forced to consider both Sociopaths. One is in power, which he thinks is just an extension of a business empire, which has often run into the ground (look for more of the same). The other Sociopath got lost on HER way to the coronation but is bound to claw, bite and flail until she becomes the Real President, instead of the popular-vote President.

in 2011 the day after KO left MSNBC. I had gotten tired of shouting at Rachael Maddow's inane so called news reporting. "Today Obama shot a nun on TV but that's not good enough for the Republicans". By this time I was done with the Dems. I quit the party and voted for Jill Stein in 2012. I think if people quit getting their news off the TV and stopped believing what ever the likes of Bezoz's WaPo and the NYT or any of these propagandist organs tell them is happening all of us would be better off. All you get from the so called real news is fear and loathing pumped at you 24 hours a day. Retreating in our respective caves is the goal of the new's speakers.
Ask me Americans are addicted to fear, hating, and misdirected outrage. We're better off with out the TV spying on us and filling us with useless partisan or 'patriotic' garbage. USA! USA! USA! Even the net is crawling with fake progressives like Thom Hartman or Cenk. Like it or not? that is not the question. Of course I don't like it but that doesn't make it the only available reality. Politics and history are not static and saying well that's just the way it is and feeding off their game is exactly what they want. Who buys newspapers anyway?

The real divide that is fucking with us is between those who were born before the personal computer came into existence, and those who were born after. The key difference is where they get their news.
This would be a far better nation if those who were born before, would refrain from voting.

That reflects my argument to people during the primaries - that their vote should be one that supports their children’s future. Too many of those millennials voted for Hillary because of their mother’s well-meaning, but misguided intentions.

Everyone's talking about it, from Forbes to Scholastic.
Studies show that, indeed, kids tend to vote like their parents. About 75 percent.
For those that claim that's like giving their parents double votes — keep in mind that was the argument for not giving women the vote.
Kids need to start voting and thinking about it as young as possible if they are going to protect their own generation. They shouldn't be strapped with the laws and the debts of selfish dead people, like the ruined generation of millennials. The Founders were very much against this, but they never dreamed that the human lifespan would double. Otherwise, they would have never stuck the Supreme Court with lifetimers and dead-ender political appointees.
It's okay with me if people stop voting at 60. After that, it's like beating a dead horse. They never have to live with the consequences. Older folks vote their fears rather than their hopes. They fund wars. That's just how the brain ages.

that makes a lot of sense. When I think about what my daughter ‘knew’ so strongly about what was right for her, at an even earlier age, I am convinced that many millennials knew better.

Not quite.
Many of us who were born "before" remember real journalism, and miss the living fuck out of it. (Remember "scoops"? I do!) And because of that, we crave genuine news and real information. Folks resembling that last remark should be encouraged to vote by all means necessary.
And the "news" sources available on the Internet can be just as treacherous as the broadcast, cable, and print varieties. Exhibit A: The Internet portfolio of one Markos Moulitsas Zúniga.
The folks we need to forget about voting are those who cherish stupidity. Unfortunately, there's no quick-and-dirty simple cleave to separate these people from the rest of us.

Hillary may be temporarily gone for now, but the democratic party she and Bill built is the one in currently in power. In fact, the party has taken up the same memes as her campaign. She might as well be in charge.

of the duopoly. Wait, I already did.
I'm not sure why not. It could include supporting third parties so those that have a problem with not voting could still participate in our fraud elections. It could create some excitement, who knows. Better than sitting back and doing nothing or endlessly talking about whether a third party will work or not.
@Big Al
Not only will I boycott the duopoly and vote third party or not at all, I will also boycott all large corporations whenever possible i.e. food, clothing, banking etc.

begin. Before we figured out what Bezos's Amazon was and is we bought from them if we could not find electronics or other items locally. I bought my last computer online from New Egg. I buy books and music from local retailers and have a great library within walking distance for DVD's and books. I'm lucky as I live in a city with lot's of small business's and fun thrift stores galore. Our money's in one of Portland's many CU's This is getting harder and harder as our city is rabidly being gentrified to the point where small outlets like Fred's Music are being priced out.
I used to buy my kitchen stuff and brooms from a little store that carried locally made eco-freindly products and made in the US cookware etc. Their lease expired and the new one was 2000$ a month more so they closed. Same with a local art supply store which was right down the street. I have dusted off that old hippie maxim and try to apply it 'Act local, think global.' The big corporations make easier to deal with them then going local or living without using them.
I've been using cash money as far daily living goes. I spend less as it's not as abstract as swiping your card. I see less stalking ad's online this way also. I don't want to be a crazy survivalist but living half off the grid is possible and makes you not as reliant on the too big's. I occasionally find it impossible to find or buy basic's like underwear and then I resort to online and stay away from the biggies there too. We do not frequent to Big Box's as the stuff they carry usually is not that much cheaper and it sucks and falls apart quickly.

But for retail workers, Amazon is a grave threat. Just ask the 10,100 workers who are losing their jobs at Macy’s. M, +0.43% Or the 4,000 at The Limited. Or the thousands of workers at Sears SHLD, +1.00% and Kmart, which just announced 150 stores will be closing. Or the 125,000 retail workers who’ve been laid off over the past two years

Thanks thanatokephaloides, that is how "I see" too. That really made me LOL. What is going on in that How Democrats See Hillary Clinton square? Weird, dysfunctional. She has a BIG hand, lmao.
But I would replace that "how I see Hillary" picture with a picture of Slim Pickins riding the bomb down in "Dr. Strangelove" and the "how I see Trump" picture with Snidley Whiplash.

about loving or hating pols from Obomber. My uh oh moment came on the day Senator Obama voted for FISA. I had been working for his Oregon campaign since it opened way before the primary went into full swing. His campaign headquarter was about a mile from our house. OFA hadn't yet taken it over and it was truly a grassroots effort with local people not all Demorat's. Lot's of Indies, Greens, and yopug'uns not even voting age. I worked hard registering non-voters as Demorat's and then was the queen of canvasing for about 3 full months, full time.
My legs got in great shape but it wasn't worth it to walk around my district/precinct selling the rat bastard as change you can believe in. I even signed up some the local redneck RW idiots. 'He'll take away our pot and guns'. Oh no I said here's a picture of him smoking weed. Well he did take away their pot and left them armed to the teeth. I should have known when the OFA thugs did arrive and told us all not to talk 'issues' but to just tell our conversion story. Oh yeah and do not bad mouth Hillary about her issues.
Anyway I learned from that 2007-8 election debacle that loving a pol or even looking to a pol to be anything other then a lying weasel is an exercise in futility. I often feel like I should retrace my many steps and apologize to the young single mothers, the poor, Latino's, young skate boarders and others I hustled into registering Dem. and then we would have some bottom up change, as we we're the change we had been waiting for. Yeah right.
All this talk of strong leaders being needed is imo cart before the horse politically speaking. Face it as long as people keep their energy focused on the Forbidden City's political intrigues and the cast of endless crooks, killers and fascistic, anti-democratic pols and the think tanks, orgs. NGO's and the whole political apparatchik it just makes it harder to get these fucks out of here. There is no difference that makes a difference as they all kiss the ring of the globalized empire of the oligarchical collectivist's.
Even Bernie man, how many spin offs, riffs, on the fake useless Democratic reform resistance can he endorse? Does he believe this bs.? Who cares and why? Can't people everywhere break through the made up divisions of PC or the stupid cultural wars, agree that this is seriously a time to stop wallowing in their sick sick world.
Sure who wouldn't like a third party that would take them on and get enough people to make a difference but it's not going to happen yet. The vice grip of the complicit duopoly with armed goons to put down any real resistance makes it a impossibility. What we can do as humans caught in this global cabal's viscous grip on the world is refuse to give any of them consent to govern.
We can also really resist and stand in solidarity with ordinary humans globally. No leaders necessary at this point. Like #noDAPL people can by taking them on without political credentials from hell get heard and get people who have had enough to stand with them. Why spend your attention and energy rehashing the same old we all know is futile. Same old pols, same old partisan divides and the same old owners who rule the world. The 'great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money.'
We need to figure out a way to proceed with out the preconceived limits we all seem to accept as what else is there. It will take time and it will take letting go of the notionj that there is nothing else we as people can do. Hey how long did it take the world at large to get rid of the Roman assholes who ruled the world? At the accelerated rate the USA and their sponsors have managed to create this NWO we the people can and will do it globally. Sure they are viscous armed and dangerous but since when haven't these assaults on humanity and the planet not been?
I love mythology and history. It gives you a perspective of how timeless our current situation is. It's an endless struggle. I guess I'm sick of reading about Hillary the Hairball and all these wankers who make up the leadership of the world as we find it. Getting lost in the minutiae of who did what and who ratted out who and who's the biggest rat of all just seems to me to get us nowhere. Never has never will.
So pardon me it I exist via the gift shop and disengage from all this insane nonsense that revolves around those that caused us to get to this point of insanity and have no interest in removing the powers that be as they are 'inevitable'. No there not. If you stop listening to them and look to the human spirit that has brought humans the universal rights of law and principles instead of myopically following the leader's and work to take these fuckers out it just might work.
They come with a whole dependent apparatchik and bureaucracy, that enables them to hold their grip on power. Still it make take time but getting hysterical about time just feeds the myth that this is all we can get. Strange days when people look to the destroyers of life to rescue them from the world they built and seek to impose on humans and the planet. Shorter version: Forget about them and their nasty carrying on. None of them including Bernie, Andrea Merkel, Hillary, Assad, The Turkey guy, Chuck Schumer, Nancy P. my rotten mayor and governor, none of them are real. They derive their power from people believing that this is all we can get. bs.
Don't read or write at all about politics these days; just trying to let the intuition percolate up as to where to go now that we're trapped between the evil psychopaths and the psychopathically evil -- no one in or near power is going to actually address any real problem in any meaningful way.
I'm thinking the way to go: a mass movement to break the Republican and Democratic Parties. Whatever it takes: even if that's mass demands for RICO investigations of both parties. 40 million emails and letters to the Dept of Justice, cc'd to all the major talking heads.
I'm serious about that: the rising of the people for the purpose of discrediting and delegitimizing both parties. Ending the virtual monopoly on political access these two parties hold in most states and across the nation. (Odd, that, how 'the free marketplace of ideas' doesn't apply to our political system's organizations.)
I don't see any other thing that could actually happen right now (and more easily as the Trumptoon continues to play out.) Recent polls have shown something like 88% of the people think that the Party Elites are concerned only with their own aggrandizement; the people be damned. And it's been over 70% for a good year or more.
I'm talking 'action item' not 'provocative sayings on the web' with this idea.
Trump Replaces Heads of Department of Justice and Customs Enforcement
By TOM LIDDY
Jan 30, 2017
Donald Trump replaced the acting chiefs of the Department of Justice and Immigration and Customs Enforcement Monday night in the wake of controversy surrounding his executive order on immigration.
Trump first took aim at acting Attorney General Sally Yates, who just hours ago penned a letter saying she wouldn't defend the president's action, which restricted immigration from seven predominantly Muslim countries and banned refugees from Syria indefinitely.
The White House said that Yates, an appointee of former President Obama, "betrayed" the Department of Justice with her letter, which questioned whether Trump's order was "lawful."
"Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration," the White House statement said. Yates was replaced by Dana Boente, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. ...
And the same fate will befall anyone else who regards law and justice to be above any political office-holder.
And in the 2nd instance, are these the same talking heads working for the corporate media and promoting official propaganda lines because their careers and pay-cheques depend upon their doing this?
This is yet another lawless administration yet another step down the line, and I dunno how much good appealing to their stooges will do, although you can certainly try. And the very best of luck to you!

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
@Ellen North
The 'why bother we're doomed' seems to ignore that focused mass-energy has altered policy and laws, indeed, even history for some centuries now.

Nice poster
But I would replace that "how I see Hillary" picture with a picture of Slim Pickins riding the bomb down in "Dr. Strangelove" and the "how I see Trump" picture with Snidley Whiplash.
On to Biden since 1973
the point of this poster
The poster's point -- and one I've made before, frequently, here, is that you could just as easily replace that "how I see Hillary" picture with a picture of Snidely Whiplash and the "how I see Trump" picture with Slim Pickins riding the bomb down in "Dr. Strangelove"!
Clinton is Trump.
Trump is Clinton.

Ka-CHING!
I learned my lesson
about loving or hating pols from Obomber.
They derive their power from people believing that this is all we can get. bs.
And there's the issue to rally The People around.

I can see a same-old, same-old problem with this...
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-replaces-heads-department-justice-c...
Got a better idea?
