Devolution of Bernie Sanders

A fable: once there was a knight in shining armor across the field to save a damsel in distress. Lance at the ready, the brave warrior urged his steep onward up the slight rise. Alas (and alack!) his horse slipped on the swampy ground, propelling the brave knight into the air. Whatever goes up, must come down. Thump! (Trump?) No, Thump! Upon impact, the helmet's visor was forced backwards impelling Sir Knight's silver tongue into the manure besotted ground, for this was of course equestrian terrain. Oof!
As tongue protruded,
manure intruded,
the knight thus deluded,
his verbalization exuded,
not on challenges precluded
but of merit denuded,
what virtue previously concluded,
was ripped and colluded,
speaking trash undisputed.

I always love Jimmy and his panel. Especially from about 11 minutes on, it's like they are reading my mind here.

Sanders is just saying the same thing over and over about reforming the party and he seems to believe some kind of magic reforms come from the party leadership if he just keeps repeating his stump speech. Clearly, the party has no intention of reforming on its own and the way Bernie is burning through his political capital does make me wonder if he's so set in his ways he can't envision anything else or what else could possibly be causing him to pull his punches and sheepdog as he is.

Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.

we do our thing in our various ways. If we happen to meet on the road going the same way, well and good - if not, oh well.
