The election of President Trump is the New Pearl Harbor: it awoke the sleeping giant. Protests abound from coast to coast, from Canadian to Mexican borders. Undoubtedly part of it is due to George Soros and Hillary Clinton but that's only a part of the story and probably not even the major part of the story.
Angry citizens have voiced their fears, frustrations, and threats of reprisal against elected "representatives" (i.e., voting them out next election).

A few examples will suffice as there have been reports of 200 such disruptions nationwide:
Jason Chaffetz
Rep. Tom McClintock from my home state
Senator Bill Cassidy
Multiple other Republicans

Bernie Sanders went public about this, commenting on Republicans' lack of fortitude in facing their constituents.

But Democrats are not immune including a so-called Town Hall Dinner with Sheldon Whitehouse.

In my corner of the California swamp, somehow a Repugnant got elected Assemblyman in my very blue district. Newly elected, he held his first Town Hall meeting. Did he get a surprise! Being politically active, I thought I would go to the show--and a show it was.

As cozy as the gathering seems, it was actually much larger than my picture indicates. I was about 70 feet from the stage and there was at least another 30 feet, filled with people behind me--standing room only. I estimate at least two hundred people were present, including at least one pink pussy hat and several Resist T-shirts. Two women just ahead of me held up signs simultaneously at various points, one saying "agree" and the other saying "disagree".

The acoustics were terrible--no microphone. None for the speaker. None for the questioners. "I didn't expect such a large crowd" was his justification for this--which was roundly booed. I could hear only about 20%.

Much of the signage was about national matters particularly immigrant policy (anti-Trump). Some questions included fracking ban, Medicare for all (single payer California style). I could not get a coherent understanding of what he said due to the acoustics, nor could the people seated next to me. One of them commented why there was no microphone to which I replied "chickenshit Republican". She and her friend smiled.

What was billed to be a 3 hour session, ended after 45 minutes when Mr. Cunningham had had all the heat he could handle. He slipped behind the curtain waving his hand, saying nothing about his departure. I am doubting he will soon repeat his fiasco.
