Sigh. A while back I tried to start a thing called 'Port Writer's Alliance' where I teamed up my sites, The Stars Hollow Gazette and DocuDharma with a collection of others in the hope that sharing content would benefit us all.

It ended... badly. You see some people thought my torrent of posts (as most of you remember I was running 5 franchises on dK) was an attempt to stifle legitimate interaction which they somehow defined as letting their pages remain stagnant until they had sufficient comments to 'justify' moving on to the next thing.

Well, I hate that. A day without new pieces is like a day without sunshine.

Except that you're dead.

If people can't click on your site and expect something fresh why should they? That's why I'm a fanatic about scheduling. It may be crap but at least it's new.

So I'm mildly disappointed that seemingly everthing I post (though I try to avoid the crappiest) goes straight up. I kind of expect that it will be dribbled out as appropriate.

And may I point out I already run 2 sites and it's all I can do to make sure that they keep current. If I had some regular writers I could concentrate on our structural problems which include but are not limited to our own deficit of Wordpress scheduling solutions and lack of social media presence.

The hours are long but you get no respect and no money for your efforts.

I'm gratified that the old crew still remembers me, yours were the only opinions I cared about anyway. I don't chat much because I'm that busy (I have a life too).
