We get a break from the high school crowd chanting "Omigod Sanders criticized Planned Parenthood!" A lot of people in the comments section reflecting upon their crap experiences with NGOs.
Also check out the book "The Revolution Will Not Be Funded." The NGO staffers write foundation grants, endorse all the "appropriate" politicians, and maybe do a little good with their money in a world thoroughly harmed by their funders.

Log Cabin Republicans in Drag
Honestly, since my peeved comment yesterday regarding the cynical use of the term "Human Rights" I looked further at this group.
The duplicitous name of this group should have been my first clue. Having worked with LGBT groups in Southern California, I would recognize these wide-stance snakes, anywhere. They slithered around over at the Orange Boutique for a time, using it like a kleenex before tossing it aside. [shudder] They always did like Miss Goldwater, 1964, though.
Populations don’t like wars. They have to be lied into it.
That means we can be “truthed” into peace. — Julian Assange
Log Cabin Republicans forced the government’s hand on DADT
They sued and were well on their way to winning on 1st and 5th Amendment grounds.
At that point Congress, seeing the handwriting on the wall, voted to repeal DADT. After Obama signed repeal into law, the Log Cabin case was rendered moot.
The Log Cabin Republicans’ lawsuit ended up having a lot more impact than the Human Rights Campaign’s petition signature drive.
Of course, as in the case of the DREAM Act, one may question the desirability and morality of minority eagerness to sign up for the empire’s wars. Equal opportunity cannon fodder?
Very interesting
Cassiodorus. A lot of NGO's and charitable foundations, unions and even environmental orgs. are tied to the apron strings (pardon my sexism) of the oligarchical collectivists.. I used to donate to Osprig which at one time was not afraid of offending the establisment pols but over the years they too have become dubious. A lot of the problem is that the people who are the heads of these orgs. are not really interested in feeding the children, justice or serving the cause of what or who they represent. We have a lot of 'volunteers' on our streets here who hustle donations for Feed the Children. Turns out that one of it's principle founders is Cokie Roberts. A friend of ours works for a supposedly non-profit org. that's about helping the black community and they are anti-teacher unions and homophobic to boot. What a scam.
So what's up with Planned Parenthood?
Planned Parenthood...
...sold out, and let u know, by endorsing HRC.
Double post so I edited it right out I hope
The endorsements sort into two groups.
Hillarys come from the leadership of the NPOs. Usually without consulting members, they gladly glom onto the Clinton and what they perceive to be the money train. Where votes are taken and members participate, the endorsements go to the Bernie. Self-interest vs. principle.
Speaking of self-interest, Obama is getting ready for the boon of new jobs his TPP is going to create.
Truth be told, part of me really wants to like Obama. He's handsome, smart, personable, a good dad(?), a good husband(?). After being badgered to death by Granholm, he did rescue Michigan and the rust belt. But truth be told, there's nothing of real value inside the packaging.

Thanks for this link, DK. I plan to post on this discriminatory
'forced labor' scheme, once I get all the details on the proposed program.
I wonder if it would pass constitutional muster. It would seem that it wouldn't, unless "UE" insurance is officially considered 'welfare.' (IOW, another 'welfare to work' scheme.)
Who knows? Maybe Congress included such a provision in one of the recent Omnibus Bills. This program was initially proposed by PBO in his American Jobs Act of 2011. Just like reducing the weeks of Extended UE Insurance was tucked into this proposal, and the supplemental UE program went from 99 weeks to 73 weeks when Congress passed the 'reform' in February 2012.
I bet good ol' Virginia Foxx helped him write this one!
It is absolutely amazing how this Administration has managed, time and time again, to strip away employee's/workers right to autonomy--without any pushback, period.
*Sigh*

CNN to hold Iowa Democratic town hall
So limited and hidden debates backfired. Now HRC wants more face time with her pals from CNN controlling the issues so she can pull her cookies out of the fire in Iowa. . What a nasty piece of work she is. Bernie will mop the floor with her.
What a cat fight this will turn out to be at GOS.
