You know what I'd like for Christmas? For the Hillbots to shut the fuck up about imaginary Russians hacking our elections and to own up to the fact that their candidate lost in spite of all the shenanigans and repeated warnings they chose to ignore. But don't worry, I'm not leaving the Alt-Right Drumpfkopfs out of this one. Not by a long shot. After all, I want them to shut the fuck up about political correctness, trigger warnings, cucks and all the other shit they consider the bane of 'Western (White) Civilization' or 'leftist' or 'socialist' and spend some time fuckin' educating themselves as to why their entire reactionary movement is anything but rational. But then again, that's asking too much of both groups.

So you're probably wondering just what in the hell brought this on....Anybody remember the movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective? If you do, you'll probably remember the infamous 'Captain Winky' scene.

It's pretty easy to see why a scene like this wouldn't fly in the motion picture industry today. Still, that didn't stop a bunch of flying monkeys from whining about such a fact in the comment section. If you click the YouTube button and just scroll down you'll see just what it is I'm talking about.

Heck, you can see this kind of crap on almost any clip of a movie or TV show with a bunch of whiny little brats talking about 'PC bullshit'. Little do these morons know that if they had their way, we'd see the return of minstrels (or blackface) or blatantly racist cartoon caricatures like some of the old Bugs Bunny cartoons from World War 2. But I guess that's what we get when kids aren't properly educated in the history of this 'great' nation of ours. After all, wingnut states like Texas have sway in what goes into history textbooks, among other things. Maybe proper history education would be a good place to start with these assholes, but I digress.

Now let me get back to the so-called left and the obsession with the Russians. I see video after video stating as fact outright suppositions and falsehoods when it comes to what happened in the electoral clusterfuck of 2016 and how Russian operatives supposedly hacked our elections to favor the Drumpfkopf in Chief. I'll just leave a couple of examples here for your consideration before I continue.

So, as usual, rather than reflect on what they did wrong, the center-right party that races the wingnuts right off a cliff prefers to scapegoat everything that isn't nailed down from millennials to Russians to Bernie Sanders to Jill Stein to their supporters and so on. Yeah. It's our fault morale didn't improve after being curb stomped again and again while being told the guys carrying billy clubs and tommy guns were gonna do something worse.

If any Democratic voter who's still licking Clinton's boots at this point happens to see this (fat chance), let me give you a few tips:

1. Identity politics don't win elections*. You can't claim to be building an inter-sectional movement and then shit on the people who point out that your chosen leader doesn't give two fucks about you by labeling them the same things you label your enemies. In fact, that's a big reason your candidate sucked right there.

2. This might undo my first point, but you don't ignore white working class voters either. After all, if you knew anything about the Southern Strategy, poor white folks have had it rough themselves because of a little thing called Benign Neglect. It's been going on for decades. Meanwhile, as they see their jobs and what they see as their way of life disappear and their communities fall into disrepair, politicians are all too happy to give them someone, anyone to blame rather than address the problems these people face.

Of course, white folks aren't the only ones feeling the effects of said Benign Neglect. The Democratic Party has outright neglected issues such as the attacks on womens' bodily autonomy, Civil Rights, LGBTQ Rights, labor rights etc. despite the fact that they pay immense amounts of lip service to those things to either get elected or stay elected. And yet, these same voters have the nerve to call me short-sighted and self-righteous for pointing out such things and refusing to vote with my fear and instead vote for something I believe in.

So before this gets too long, here's what I want fro Christmas: I want the Drumpkopfs and the Hillbots to shut the fuck up, think, reflect and educate themselves as to how and why we got to this point in the first place. Based on how things are right now, I don't see that happening but one can dream.

* It's true that many of Trump's surrogates did indeed rely on white and christian identity to garner the vote. Trump himself did so a few times, too, but not as often as Clinton and her surrogates invoked the other side of it.
