I have a horrible feeling that they've just delayed, to defuse a flash-point for mass - albeit peaceful - revolution, perhaps until the current attempt at censorship of the internet has been achieved. The optics weren't good, shall we say? Especially, as you say, with thousands of veterans coming to stand against the militarized police and vicious imported branch of whatever-Blackwater-is-currently-being-called mercenaries invading the territory. But if nobody can see, optics aren't an issue for TPTB, right?

I am very glad that people continue to come and to stay to stand with, and as, the Water Protectors, as I suspect that this may not be finally and satisfactorily resolved until charges are brought against all those involved in this invasion and attack. Although I hope that these are unwarranted suspicions, the days of justifiable trust in 'the authorities' - or the destructive corporations and billionaires that own them - are long gone.
