FBI Releases Marc Rich Files
Despite my earlier fart of a Wikileak, I'm pretty sure this headline is far more serious. And it's not coming from Wikileaks, either, it's coming right from the source (via Zerohedge)
According to the FBI, "this initial release consists of material from the FBI's files related to the William J. Clinton Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The bulk of these records come from a 2001 FBI investigation into the pardon of Marc Rich (1934-2013), aka Marcell David Reich, by President Clinton in 2001; it was closed in 2005. The material is heavily redacted due to personal privacy protections and grand jury secrecy rules."
The commentariat is, in a word, shocked by what this symbolic, and impromptu release means, with some wondering if it is payback for Clinton’s blasting of the FBI.
But wait...there's more...
And the young federal prosecutor who ultimately decided not to charge Clinton or anyone else in "pardongate"... James Comey.
Well, well, well! Somebody's supremely pissed off...(edited to add) either that, or we're not supposed to look at something else....

Maybe I am being too kind and naive (and have read too many novels) but with Whitewater, Mark Rich, and now the servers Comey has found wrongdoing and it seems that he was pressured into not recommending charges or the decision wasn't his to make.

Ever since the Clintons entered politics they have been under
investigation for something.
From whitewater, travel gate Bill having relations with women or women accusing him of sexual harassment, Monica Lewinsky, ect and Hillary's time at the Rose law firm and now her email server and their foundation.
I know that they have never been charged with anything, but come on.
There was enough evidence for people to look into their dealings.
The email server was a bone headed stupid thing to do and I think that she set it up so that she could merge the state department with her foundation.
Huma has said that Chelsea had access to the Clintonone account. Why else would she need access to it if not so she could put Bill in the same areas where Hillary would be doing business with foreign governments or financial institutions?
Almost every time she went to countries on state department business Bill also went there and was paid to give a speech. And after Hillary was finished their foundation got a donation.
That isn't coincidence. That was planning.
And IMO it was pay to play and she broke the agreement with Obama to keep her duties as SOS separate from her foundation.
I don't know why Grassley didn't follow up with his questioning the legality of it. But he was aware of what she was doing and I'm sure others were too.
And maybe she knew that she would get away with it.
Time will tell, but I think that if it was a republican husband and wife doing this then Hillary's supporters would have a problem with it.

It's about the connection between the two going way back, obviously. To me, though, it's almost like someone's playing chicken with leaks at this point. Like, "How Low Can You Go??"

Below, I opined that it was Comey's way of responding to HRCs demand for transparency, and I think that is part of it. But this person (Segami, on JPR) has it in a nutshell.
Each of the investigations released show massive evidence that the Clintons and friends were breaking laws and regulations right and left, that the little people would be tossed into jail for. But the Clintons go free, every time. And the FBI may not be able to get them this time, so they are showing what they have, and leaving it to us. More at the link:

Has anyone read the details of the Rich pardon?
I read this when it was published last month and was flabbergasted by what he did and how he was pardoned.
Not only flabbergasted but disgusted by it and how much corruption there is in our government that I can't imagine.
The films we watch about our government, the power of congress members and the other corruption used to seem like fiction to me, but after reading this....

There are some redactions
especially in the amounts of money paid (or "donated" if you prefer) in exchange for the pardon. I've seen the figure of $450,000 to the Clinton Foundation, but there were plenty of other donations to other entities as well. This one cost him quite a bit more than that.
