This won't be long (on edit - I lied). I just want to comment on the lies and hypocrisy of the US Government and the'claims of 'hacking'

THIS IS MY OPINION AND WRITING

It's been quite a while since I felt like I was any 'part' of this country other than a statistic. That's basically how I feel about most of my 'fellow Americans' to quote another stellar example of the type of leaders we've gotten since I was a young girl. In my humble opinion there hasn't been an honest broker in the White House since Kennedy other than Jimmy Carter, and both of those guys certainly had their flaws as well. And both were hurt by failed military/covert actions, Kennedy with the Bay of Pigs and Carter with his hairbrained scheme to fund al Quaeda. But both of these men were concerned with everyone in this country. They didn't just pander to the rich and powerful or the MIC. I hated Reagan but I also knew that there was something 'wrong' with the guy even during his first campaign. I've always thought that because of that infirmity he was used as a front man for the Republican Party. I doubt that he made one executive decision in his two terms beside making it an official policy to HIV/AIDS sufferers die a horrible death because of their sexuality. Since Reagan we've seen the worst of the worst elected to front for TPTB in this country. Clinton (and his horrific wife) did nothing but whore for the 1% and persecute/prosecute those who were the weakest among us. I see no need to even discuss Chimpy McSmirkster and his buddy Chainsaw. Their evil speaks for itself.

But Obama, he's in a category all by himself. He lied, outright lied, throughout his entire campaign. He threw around words like Hope, Change, Transparency, Comfortable Shoes, Single Payer, Investigations (into Wall Street and why we went to war). He was going to be the president we desperately needed to set this country on the right track, clean up the corruption, defend those that had no champion. He was going to be the first 'black' president regardless of the fact that his mother was white and he was raised by his white banker grandmother. Well he has been anything but that person. He lied on the campaign trail, he lied throughout his first term and kicked us prols in the teeth to support the 1%, and he continued along that path his second term. When we needed a jobs program and controlled the House and Senate, he gave us a piece of shit healthcare coverage mess that he cleared with the insurance companies and Big Pharma first and had the gall to make it mandatory that we buy it. Then there was his austerity program, and putting the safety net up for cuts. He didn't feel a tremor of compunction about looking straight into the camera and lying about the NSA. He's tried and is still trying to push egregious trade agreements down out throats or up our asses (or where ever it is you may feel the pain). *sigh* I could go on an on but what's the point? You know all this.

But what he is doing now is even worse. He's trying to skew the election for someone who actually could be and probably will be even worse for America than himself. He's out beating the bushes trying to scare up votes for the wife of the guy that gave us DOMA, harsh prison sentencing of the poor and minorities, welfare 'reform', and the repeal of Glass Steagall that opened up the floodgates for Wall Street's criminal rape of half the planet. This woman supported all those policies and did everything she could to help get them passed. This is a woman who voted for war in Iraq. This is a woman who is a known liar. There is nothing that she touched as wife of the Governor of Arkansas or as Secretary of State that didn't end up going to Hell in the end. Her incompetence and her corruption make her dangerous to our way of life and to the way of life (quite often actual life) of other people around the globe. Men, women, and children DIE because she's a venal, vapid, vacant shell of a human being who's main motivation is to pad her own nest. IF the Russians, or anyone else, are hacking this country, it is nothing more than paybacks for what we are already doing to them. Obama and the Clinton creature talk about the Russians wanting to 'influence' our election. We do that to other countries. Look at Central and South America. Another thing our government and our hired spooks love love love to do is destabilize and overthrow the governments of duly elected leaders that don't do as we want. I find that far more serious than hacking. We have been doing this since the founding of our nation. Ask the indigenous peoples who we are again persecuting and prosecuting for trying to protect their lands from the Petrochemical Industry.

So, since hacking is what Obama and the Clinton creature are going to run with, I thought I'd just post a little bit about what they've been up to.

NOT MY WRITING - A WASHINGTON POST ARTICLE

America uses stealthy submarines to hack other countries’ systems

When Donald Trump effectively called for Russia to hack into Hillary Clinton's emails Wednesday, the GOP nominee's remarks touched off a (predictable) media firestorm. Here was a presidential candidate from a major U.S. party encouraging a foreign government to target American interests with cyberspying — an act that could not only expose national security information but also potentially undermine the actual security infrastructure of the United States.

Cyberwarriors working for Moscow and other regimes are already poking and prodding at our networks, so there's little reason to think Trump's words were all that damaging in themselves. But it's a good opportunity to talk about the state of state-sponsored hacking, and to offer a reminder that the United States is just as active in this space as the next government.
These days, some U.S. subs come equipped with sophisticated antennas that can be used to intercept and manipulate other people's communications traffic, particularly on weak or unencrypted networks.

"We've gone where our targets have gone" — that is to say, online, said Stewart Baker, the National Security Agency's former general counsel, in an interview. "Only the most security-conscious now are completely cut off from the Internet." Cyberattacks are also much easier to carry out than to defend against, he said.

One of America's premier hacker subs, the USS Annapolis, is hooked into a much wider U.S. spying net that was disclosed as part of the 2013 Edward Snowden leaks, according to Adam Weinstein and William Arkin, writing last year for Gawker's intelligence and national security blog, Phase Zero. A leaked slide showed that in a typical week, the Navy performs hundreds of so-called "computer network exploitations," many of which are likely the result of submarine-based hacking.

"Annapolis and its sisters are the infiltrators of the new new of cyber warfare," wrote Arkin and Weinstein, "getting close to whatever enemy — inside their defensive zones — to jam and emit and spoof and hack. They do this through mast-mounted antennas and collection systems atop the conning tower, some of them one-of-a-kind devices made for hard to reach or specific targets, all of them black boxes of future war."

SECOND ARTICLE ON U.S. HACKING FROM DEFENSEONE.COM

Cyber Firm: The NSA Is Out-Hacking the Chinese and the Russians

The exposure of an all-star hacker group thought to be affiliated with the National Security Agency is both a feather in the spy agency’s cap and a setback for intelligence-gathering on Islamic extremists, some threat analysts say.

On Sunday, Kaspersky Lab, a research firm headquartered in Moscow, published an analysis implying the “Equation Group” is the same entity behind the so-called Stuxnet worm. That malware is believed to be a joint NSA-Israeli invention that sabotaged Iran’s nuclear centrifuges in 2009 or 2010.

*

“The person responsible or the team, on the one hand, should be patting themselves on the back,” said Alex McGeorge, head of threat intelligence at security firm Immunity and a former Transportation Department cyber consultant. “I think this is work you can really be proud of from a purely technical standpoint.”

The victims resided in Iran, Russia, Syria, Afghanistan and Belgium, among some 30 other countries, according to Kaspersky. The company’s founder, Eugene Kaspersky, has worked for the Russian military, a sometimes cyber adversary of the United States, but the lab’s research is respected by security experts worldwide.

The Equation group is “the most advanced threat actor we have seen,” researchers at Kaspersky’s Global Research and Analysis Team said. Over the past several years, the team has investigated more than 60 advanced attackers.

needs to be repeated about as often as the daily weather forecast.

(I agree with you about Reagan: He was losing coherence at an observable rate but he still retained the ability to read his script that was given him and he had the ability to memorize a few tag lines which the suckers in America ate up. I agree: All important policy decisions were made and carried out by others.)

Ronald Reagan’s wartime lies: The president had quite a Brian Williams problem
Reagan spent WW II in Hollywood. He told the Israeli prime minister he was at the liberation of Nazi death camps

*
Reagan’s fibs were manifold. They included his campaign-trail tale of a “Chicago welfare queen” with 80 aliases, 30 addresses, and 12 Social Security cards, whom he alleged had claimed “over $150,000″ in government benefits. The woman whom Reagan made infamous was convicted of using only two aliases, used to collect $8,000.

Once in office, Reagan’s deception in the Iran-Contra scandal briefly threatened his presidency. First, Reagan flatly denied wrongdoing, publicly declaring, “We did not — repeat, did not — trade weapons or anything else for hostages, nor will we.” Months later, when subsequent revelations rendered that assertion untenable, Reagan delivered an Oval Office address in which he tried to reconcile his public claims with the factual record. “A few months ago, I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages,” Reagan said. “My heart and my best intentions still tell me that’s true, but the facts and the evidence tell me it is not.”

But Reagan’s fabrications also included whoppers about conflict zones reminiscent of those put forth by Williams and Clinton. During Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir’s November 1983 visit to the U.S., Reagan told Shamir that during his service in the U.S. Army film corps, he and fellow members of his unit personally shot footage of the Nazis’ concentration camps as they were liberated. Reagan would tell this story again to others, including Holocaust survivor Simon Wiesenthal. But Reagan was never present at the camps’ liberation. Instead, he spent the war in Culver City, California, where he processed footage from the liberation of the camps.

Reagan biographer Edmund Morris proposed an especially charitable explanation for Reagan’s misleading Holocaust claim, arguing that the images “so burned into his brain that later in life — quite understandably — he imagined he had been there at Ohrdruf and Buchenwald.” Like Williams’ mea culpa, in which he stated that he mistakenly “conflate[d]” one helicopter with another, Morris’ explanation stretches credulity. Just as it’s exceedingly difficult to see how someone could misremember such a searing episode as being fired upon in a war zone, it’s hard to believe that one could confuse viewing footage of Nazi death camps with actually being present at them.

I'm having an exemplary day. All that was planned and unplanned has fallen nicely into place. I guess I had to mess up unintentionally. Such is life and it's the many forks in the road that get me where I'm going.
Luckily, I didn't get a time-out. /s

Obama and Clinton talking about cyber-attacking the Russians "for WikiLeaks" when they obviously had nothing to do with the leaks. They probably put a tentative something out there into Russia. So Russia struck back. Maybe this will get through someone's head - you don't eff with the Russians, they're at least as tough and technological as we are.

Twitter and PayPal are back, at least temporarily. Here's hoping the problem is fixed and now cooler heads will prevail.

They're "at least as tough and technological as we are," yet they don't have the same bloated military budget as the US. Wonder why that is.

wholeheartedly. Obama really had me fooled too, and to see him gin up the war drums to get Shillary elected and possibly pave her way for war with Russia is worse than even the TPP. I really can hardly stand to look at him anymore either, much less listen to his great "oratory." GAG.

And Reagan, well, I drank the Kool-Aid in 1980 and voted for that - grew up in a Republican household and thought he'd do better on the economy. Still makes me sick to know I participated in any way in putting that asshole in office. I'm not too sure I'm willing to give him the dementia excuse either for his actions. He and his attitude have done one hell of a lot of damage, paving the way brilliantly for the neo-liberal scum we are afflicted with. And I harbor a nasty grudge against any idiot who's voted Repugnant all these later decades - his policies and theirs are a yuge part of what got us here. That whole Exceptional America thing always did make me sick, and he used that shtick to death with this country, helping pave the way for the dumbing down and the USA, USA, USA type of propaganda. And I hate the sound of his voice to this day too.
