Hahahahaha! People aren't brain-dead regardless of what politicians think. I don't know if its mental illness or an attempt to control reality, but politicians have some bizarre idea that its their job to define reality for us ignorant plebs. Then they stand/sit there either angry or embarrassed when they find out that it really isn't working.

Actually

Charlie Crist is a political light weight, but not a bad guy. He stood up for Florida's teachers and he was a defender of the environment. Two things that the Republicans wanted to give away. Charlie could walk around down town and be greeted favorably by the public in Tallahassee. Scott is universally hated by most of the locals in Tallahassee.

He's a charter member of 'No Labels,'

and was in attendance at the organization's kickoff in December of 2010, along with other ultra-deficit hawks.

The primary goal of the organization is to enable lawmakers to strike a 'Grand Bargain,' in order to 'preserve Social Security' for the next 75 years. (By slashing benefits, in order to offset deep tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations.) Of course, 'No Labels' effectively uses tortured language to disguise their real intent to the typical voter [who doesn't closely follow this topic].

Here's an excerpt from Slate; a rather interesting cast of characters, IMO.

The guest list at Monday's confab said as much about the group as its slogan.

Attendees were a mix of media commentators (David Brooks, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski), recent political losers (former Delaware Rep. Mike Castle, former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist), politicians who aren't seeking re-election (New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh), and moderates who have special permission to buck their party (incoming West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman).

In other words, a bunch of people with nothing at stake.

[Note: Apparently, the author 'forgot' to mention that this is a bunch of uber fiscally conservative corporatist neoliberals.]

I guess Crist's audience doesn't give a rat's tail that snopes and others find Trump even more dishonest than dishonest Hillary. Neither do I.

I'm using my vote the only way the Democratic and Republican parties allowed me to use it this election. I am voting for Jill Stein. I don't think she has a prayer of winning and I am not even sure she would make a capable President. I am, however, sure that neither Hillary nor Trump will. Therefore, I am voting against the duopoly.
