Interesting interview of Bernie in The Nation magazine
I think the political revolution is coming after the election, regardless of who wins, and I think this website is going to be a big part of it.
Bernie quote from the interview:
The second point to be made is that politics does not end the day of the election. The day after the election, when Hillary Clinton wins, you can be assured that I and other progressives will be saying to President-elect Clinton, “Take a good look at the Democratic platform that you supported—because together, President-elect Clinton, we are going to implement that platform. We’re going to involve millions of people in the process who are going to break up the large Wall Street banks, who are going to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, who are going to be very aggressive on climate change and transforming our energy system.”
But if Trump is elected president… I just don’t know what America looks like four years after his election, in terms of the kind of bigotry that will be erupting, in terms of the kind of divisiveness that we will see, the kind of demagoguery that we will see.

Just more of the same.
Hillary will need to be forced (somehow) and reminded about the progressive platform. But, Trump! Boo!
He is delusional.
He lost his momentum, and his opportunity to reform the system. Only 150 people showed up because the speaker and the topic are of no interest. The day after she is elected, he says "ok, Billary pay up". She says, fuck you and the horse you rode in on. He does what?

the Democratic Party votes about whether to allow him to caucus with them, and unlike Joe Lieberman, they let kick him out.
That's a possibility, CBU, and that's the problem
with not standing up to the PtB, in the first place.
I know that I was pushed to do so, by much more knowledgeable and seasoned civil servants than myself, pursuant to my whistleblowing case. 'Cause here's the catch--failure to do so, leaves one vulnerable to retaliation, going forward.
Bottom line, it's sometimes better to fight the system, or, to just leave it--than to stay under terms that violate your own goals and values. (If that is what's going on.)

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.
Again, Bernie just backing
up what he's been saying since Cali., knowing full well that Her Highness has zero intention of addressing the "platform." (how quaint). Hillary must be fuming! Yes, Bernie said he would "support" her down the stretch. (which is Totally different than Endorsing her). But, what he didn't tell her was that he would be sticking it up her ass as he was "supporting" her. Every time he says, "(Your Highness), we are going to implement that platform. We’re going to involve millions of people in the process who are going to break up the large Wall Street banks, who are going to make public colleges and universities tuition-free... " her head must explode!
He isn't speaking to HRC there. He's speaking to us Berniecrats. And HRC knows it. Bernie knows HRC has zero intention of working that "platform." As if. He's just rubbing it in. Becuz he knows he has her by the short hairs. Becuz, after the election, after HRC's honeymoon, Bernie going to be right back out there taking on the status quo that is Hillary Rotten Clinton. Out there in front of 7,000 BernieBros at some college campus, Bernie being Bernie.

Yup! But I think there's something carefully planned - and Bernie's still next in line - if rules were to be followed. Of course, if rules had been followed in the first place, Bernie's nomination win would have been allowed and recognized.

I have to agree with OLinda and kdmich.
He's lost his mojo. The people lost their mojo. That was the intent of the Clinton's to begin with. Once the people are put back in their places, they can continue to wine and dine their corporate and bankster friends, along with the Saudi's and Netanyahu and all the rest of the criminals they hang with.
Boo on us!

Bernie is in a trap, IMO. Lost his mojo cause that's the
condition of entrapment.
As for the people? Remains to be seen. The people are currently--and justifiably--disgusted, demoralized, and exhausted. We all need a weekend at the beach with friends, not exhortations from on high. This is a bad time to try to get an accurate measurement of our mojo.

Why "boo on us?"
What the hell did we do, other than vote for, donate to, and work for, the better candidate?
Or is that why you're booing, because we haven't done more?

Well, our local Bernie
Group is still with Bernie, still waiting for all this happy horse$h!t to play out, to once again get the revolution on the road. It's going to happen whether people believe "Bernie caved," "Bernie gave up," or whatever.

Good to hear, Wink.
His efforts should not have been in vain. It's good to hear there are groups out there still carrying the water. Leaders will be needed in the coming months and years.

You have no power to make them keep to that non-binding platform. In this era of lawlessness and rule-breaking, you probably couldn't even keep them to a binding one, but this platform isn't even that!
With what power are you going to make them adopt these policies? People power? Hillary Clinton and her backers don't give two shits for people power--they just showed that they can, in a pinch, suppress people power with election fraud and get away with it, so why the hell should they care what those "millions of people" think?

Agreed, and I think he is wrong on this part too...
While I don't think that he is wrong about it existing, I think of it as a boil under the surface of the skin. You need to lance it and get it out before it poisons the whole body.
Maybe I am too optimistic, but I still don't believe that anywhere close to a majority of Americans are over the top racist demons, and getting those that are out into the open may be a good thing in the long run. If the vast majority of people are not, than socializing with them, at least publicly would become akin to hanging out with Neo-Nazi's or Klansmen.
Nobody want's to be a pariah and who really wants to hang out with ignorant bigots? The social pressure alone could be enough to modify behavior, and while it wouldn't necesarlliy change the way they think, maybe it would help prevent a portion of another generation from being raised to be racist assholes.
Then again, maybe I am wrong, and there are indeed more of them than there are of us and if that is the case it would be good to know now so I can try to get the fuck out. I don't want to live in a nation where a majority of the people are card carrying racists any more than I would want to live in one largely populated by Fascists or Chinese style Communists, etc.
If those poor people from all over the world can figure out a way to get to America, the EU, etc... I sure as hell can try to find a way to get out.
It quite probably would kill me, or at least significantly shorten my life, but a longer life surrounded by assholes just doesn't sound appealing for some reason.
Maybe I can catch a raft on the return trip to Cuba... {sigh}

I think racist Trumpism will skyrocket under a Clinton administration.
There's nothing about putting Hillary in that will reduce racism, or reduce violent racism.
Though she might use it as an excuse to step up the surveillance some more.

Fully 33% of Repubs
and Drump backers lap up every word of his trashing blacks, people of color and the unwashed. That's what? 12% of the country? I suspect it's somewhere closer to 20%.
Many an white American is sick'n'tired of the browning of America, the gay now everywhere - and in their face, the America they grew up in quickly disappearing before their very eyes.

Interesting interview, but as I mentioned previously,
you don't give someone your vote and then say "Now I will hold your feet to the fire!" You have nothing to threaten them with when all they want is your vote. You give them your vote once, they'll figure they'll scare you into giving them your vote next time too.
Sure, Clinton may be a little better than Trump. But Jill Stein is a lot better than both. Let's get out the vote for Jill Stein.

If people could only give up their fears
But there is also too much media enforced ignorance about Jill. Maybe after a month more of this ugliness, Jill will be better known and she'll come through with the 35% or so of the vote that she would need to win. Maybe the demonrats will be smart and decide that they want to win and therefore put in the ringer, Bernie. Whoever told DWS to resign, I'm sure has that power. It's probably just too hard to become self-aware of enormous hubris though.
Beware the bullshit factories.
Talk her up. Imagine if all the people who stopped voting
because they're sick of both mainstream candidates (67% in 2014) instead came out and voted for Jill. She wouldn't have to take a single vote away from Hill to win. She just needs to excite the apathetic.

The revolution of Democracy
never stops, unless we the people become complacent, as has happened over the last generation.
Bernie's campaign has exposed the "cracks" in the system, if you've been paying attention, which are opportunities for exploitation by the people to BERN this shit to the ground, metaphorically speaking of course.
Who ever is appointed our president, we need to be in the streets, en-mass, the next day. We need to engage in a national strike and shut this this shit down and demand the arrest of the 1%, or it's torches and pitch forks. Otherwise, it's slow death for all of us.
Think about it, these people (1%) have amassed such vast wealth that 62 people control more wealth than 3 billion people!
Our current liar in chief, routinely murders "suspects" with only meta-data cell phone signatures.
The NDAA allows our military to rendition US citizens with only an accusation of wrong doing. You get no attorney, no trial, no evidence, no nothing.
