"How To View Hillary's Medical Mysteries: A Doctor Speaks"

DISCLOSURE: I'm a physician but I'm not a specialist. I'm a general practitioner. I have no financial interests to disclose. I'm posting this at Thumb's suggestion in the interest of facilitating an earnest and logical discussion that's based on what has been published or documented and interpreting them in the appropriate medical context.

DISCLAIMER: Any medical diagnosis should be made within the purview of a thorough review of a complete medical history, a complete physical examination and strengthened by the appropriate diagnostic/laboratory examinations. This exercise in clinical diagnosis evaluates an incomplete picture, does not present any actual physical examination findings and presents diagnostics in a limited scope. This should not be taken in lieu of a complete and thorough evaluation.

One of our regulars happens to be a general practitioner. After extended comments yesterday I asked if they would put together a post detailed some of the information they were sharing on what could be happening. We're running it as something of a WayoftheBern exclusive Ask Me Anything related to Hillary Health Speculation. Please feel free to join us.

Thanks!

I went over to read. Very well laid out. I will be back. I was tempted to post the link in the Hillary is Dead diary. https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1996

"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."--Napoleon

Now he's almost the last Beatle standing!

Considering the anniversary of 9/11, I recall how at least the BBC had announced that Building 7 had gone down before it was "pulled". (Lots of links if you want them) This was merely one station attempting to scoop everyone else and got too ansy to verify their reportage.

It was thus with Hillary as well. I'm almost surprised it wasn't the FOX affiliate in NYC, WNYW. They would have been cheering if it were true.

how an unbiased physician would write up the medical history of HRC. Evaluation of medical testing quoted in the report is incomplete--because of perhaps being withheld or other non-medical reason.

I caught them making so many good comments in a huge thread that blew up on Sunday that I thought they should get their own AMA. There's been some good Q&A in the comments. A lot of readers still lean toward PD and reactions to medications.

Whatever it is that video would have sunk anyone else. Remember how one Dean Scream or a single ride in a tank doomed two other candidates? Owning the press seems to make a big difference.

"Polls don't tell us how well a candidate is doing; Polls tell us how well the media is doing." ~ Me

I see someone already asked for the author's real-world medical credentials. I'm just asking for the online name this person posts under at your site. You have posted this under your own name, which could lead some to thing that your wrote this yourself.

Over the last few weeks, Thumb, I've seen at least 3 such posts from you, Thumb, where you post somebody else's work under your own name as a way to get clicks to your site. I must admit I'm uncomfortable with that practice, Thumb.

A link to your site is permanently posted here, Thumb, so c99ers have a way to reach your site easily. You can write your own posts here, and even cross-post them, if you want to keep your site under people's eyes here. Writers at your site can cross-post here, as well, if they choose.

So what is this about, Thumb? What are you doing with this repeated posting of other people's woCark under your own name, not even giving writers clear credit for their work?

The only way I can understand it is as a kind of 'click-pimping', using other people's work as clickbait to pull more traffic to your site. This practice feels somehow wrong to me.

Can you provide an explanation of why your are doing this strange cross-posting of other people's work? Do you have their permission? Why do they not cross-post themselves? Why do you not post your own work?

I hope you will please explain.

The medical post was by a user called mysteriosa. That post is clearly identified as being from mysteriosa. Thumb is the moderator of /r/WayOfTheBern. His/her user name on reddit is FThumb. All of this is very clear and obvious if you visit the link provided by Thumb.

You can only find out who the writer is by going to Thumb's site -- which is why it feels like clickbait to me. On this page, Thumb is posting another person's work under his name, without giving them credit.

This is the third time he has done this here, that I know of. I asked him to explain, but he has not.

The quote box is for. I for one appreciate it when people leave links to interesting material.

Thumb would not be able to post this here because it's not his work and it's an ongoing question and answer thread. People are allowed to ask questions and the doctor answers them giving what information he can about procedures and this particular case where he can given limited info.

The quote box indicates that the material contained within it is from another source and is not the essayist's material. Granted, I usually put the link to the source within the quote box itself but not everybody does it that way. The way Thumb did an explanatory paragraph in his essay followed by the link was enough.

As the progressive movement fragmented we've been working to keep the various scattered parts in communication with each other. I've been very open about encouraging other sites to cross-post material to ours with links back to theirs to encourage our readers to get off the ranch and explore the neighborhood now and then. Yes, people are aware and encouraging to have their material cross-posted. Most are honored to have their essays shared. I don't know of anyone who isn't or wasn't.

Your own Stephen D is a regular cross-poster to our reddit sub, and we've posted essays from your Alligator Ed before with links back here. I've seen a few more too, but off the top of my head the names escape me. I regularly look for interesting original material to cross-post back at our reddit sub so we don't fall into the easy trap of just posting news article links, and I always link back to the source to drive traffic back.

I have also posted my own original material here multiple times.

It's about cross-pollination between sites with shared goals, and I continue to encourage members of multiple sites to cross-post material to ours and link back to theirs.
