Question, Knucklehead
Do you have a salt water aquarium? Or where did you take these beautiful underwater photographs? Please share your secret!

Enjoy!

I showed you a fossil I found a few weeks ago.
Since then I`ve mounted it for display.
Mind you, this is not a gallery display, but one for my own yard.

your captions are almost as delicious as your photos,
Woodland Nymph and Peeking Truth ... there is a poet in you too, no?
What a treat ! Hope Raggedy Ann sees it.

Good Evening. It`s always a pleasure to read your comments.
Here`s some of my true poetry.
These images mark the end of a day, the end of a time, the begining of a new night. The dark days of the past are shown in the multiple repairs in the fence. The spirits in the bottles through which many dreams were concocted along with the cocktails of despair, have gone with the wind & hopefully the mended fences will hold. A neglected one never will. I keep fixing the repairs & hope to one day banish even the fence, like the dissipated spirits in my mind. The harshness & spikes of doubt are gone along with the spines of guilt for things I have no direct knowledge of having done. That`s one reason why cactus blooms are so important to me. From gnashing & cutting of needles & pikes the underlying beauty of the blooms overshadows the darkness of the beast. With me the beast was always the bottles & the needles. In these shots I see the light through the bottles whereas in the past I only magnified my troubles when looking at them through the bottom of a glass. Many years have past & don`t you you think the fence looks good.

yes, mending the fence, over and over,
thank you for this.
That struck me ... and now, looking at it I am waiting for the sunrise and hoping the fence will become invisible in its uplifting light.

Spectacular, Knucklehead!
What a treat your photo diary is! Eye candy! Your captions had me enjoying the show even more. Thank you so much for my Friday night dessert!

Don`t thank me, please. I probably get more enjoyment out of sharing my images than most viewers do.
And for "dessert", it`s all mine. Taking my granddaughters out for ice cream & stopping by the flag display, which was not planned.

Hey Knucklehead, great to see ya again.
I've always enjoyed your photo explorations of the natural world. I followed a photo out to your flickr site. Hope you don't mind. I didn't see any "Keep out" signs. You have amassed a huge collection amazing images. It's not a photo gallery, it's an art gallery.
And your granddaughters are seriously cute kids. Jackie wore the perfect shirt for the flags in the wind outing. Haha.

I`ve been trying to find a "Keep In" sign for years.
I just bought a car last week for Jackie, my older granddaughter.

She is a cutie, Knucklehead!
Doesn't look old enough to drive! The older I get, the younger the look!

Ha. What a great portrait!

Just saw this response, Kh!
Your photos are a serious treat - and I can see your granddaughters are, too! I've been helping my 18yo granddaughter as she has moved out on her own. I'm really proud of her - working two jobs and starting community college part-time. An independent one, she is, and loves her Oma sooooooooo much (that's how she says it in her texts to me *blush*).

Good evening, Knucklehead, good to see you again.
Great work, thanks for posting it.

Thank you, & the feeling is mutual.
One of my water fall projects, part of a property project with three sets of falls & many thousands of square feet of building work.
BTW, the work project I`ve posted over the last month is now completed as I passed city inspection today. It`s a great feeling, but now I`m again out of work.
Off to my next project though.

Awesome project. It's always good to be done, and always not
so good to be out of work, but your talents should keep you as employed as you wish to be, even in this economy.

Those were from saltwater tanks? Yours?
Looks a little not-murky-enough to be tidal open reefs. I have gotten no stonework done this summer. Sigh.
I use black zip-ties to repair black fence. My dog can still escape. Hog fencing plus barbed wire below seems to be working.

Yes, all the marine images were taken from my reef tanks. I prided myself in supplying the best water quality I could, clarity being one of the easiest.
I made up my salt water here at home to provide for up to seven reefs I had in various areas of my 3 ring compound.
After 25 years I recently shut everything down.
It was quite a run.

Wow and REC'D!!
Enjoy the long weekend, Knucklehead! I wish I had the computer IQ you have (along with the ABFAB great taste).
Inner and Outer Space: the Final Frontiers.

BTW,
I`m sorely lacking when it comes to computers.
I only got one late in life at the suggestion of a friend who thought the way I processed my thoughts would lend well to working a computer.
I took his advice & with a few pointers from him, I self taught myself the world I`d never known.
Actually my sister who has worked with computers for many years admitted to me she did not have much hope for me as historically anyone who gets a computer late in life usually has simply acquired a dust repository.
I`ve been trying to prove the masses wrong since then.
I should add that the famous, Johnny The Conqueroo, formally known as (#############. I shall not divulge his former identity for Security reasons) did help me in getting over some tough transitions.
So basically I do not possess a high computer IQ, I just possess a badass IQ. (I`m kidding) with an inordinate power of memory & willing inquisitiveness to learn.
Another thing I might mention is that all my images are taken with a point & shoot camera, to try & prove to the general viewer that it is not necessary to spend large sums of money on camera equipment to take pictures.
You actually have the same taste I have if you enjoyed my images, right?
Also to prove I`m really just an idiot at heart, what the hell is an "ABFAB"
