Here comes August.
I'm trying to get myself psyched up to get some things done. I've had these memories coming back at me for awhile. They make it very hard for me to concentrate. I'm going to try and get past them today.
I'm going to shoot my video for my project outside this morning, and we'll see how it looks. I may shoot it again later in the evening and see how each looks in the light.
Away we go.
Hey, good morning & good luck wth the shoot.

Good morning and Happy B'day to Garcia
I am heading out for the lake and will be unavailable much of the day. 4 hours travel time, love the fuzz buster. They are legal in MI. It is just nice to watch back the people who are watching you. If anything, they help to keep speed down. Everyone of those loud beeps that comes in reminds you to check your speed and slow down - it could be a cop.
Have fun at the birthday party.

Thanks for dropping by, have fun at the lake.

Thanks for the number one fun and the Jerry tunes, el.

It amazes me how well the Clinton machine deflected the proof of cheating to gain the nomination and the collusion of the media to....RUSSIA. Are we that dumb or is the complicit media that artful?
Y'all have a good day.

Good Morning, EL and 99%'ers!
I decided to forgo my usual morning walk today which means I probably will not get my steps in for the day. Some days you just need to say to heck with it.
Should be a nice day today. Cool and overcast this morning which will burn off shortly and then probably a rain shower this afternoon. That is the usual pattern here in the NC mts.
And happy birthday to Jerry Garcia.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?

Good morning, gg. Maybe you can walk in small circles and
back and forth patterns while doing other stuff. Have a good one.

Drink another cup of coffee.
That always adds a couple hundred steps to my routine.
Coffee and beer have this magical property--you have to void two or three mugs for every one you consume.

Donnie The #ShitHole Douchebag. Fake Friend to the Working Class. Real Asshole.
I think that might be from the Keystone sessions. Jerrry & Merle
did a fairly regular jam gig there with various and sundry semi-regular to totally drop-in types. It was all taped and started dribbling out a few years ago. Fantasy even did a 2 or 3 CD set of some of it.
Thanks for dropping in and have a good one.

If you took away all my music except one album
I could get by with that Jerry Garcia/David Grisman album. (I might hang onto the Pizza tapes...saying it was disk two).
by the way, e.l., I have been building skin-on-frame kayaks for the coming flood that Enki told me about. Finished my third a few days ago, and then designed this one for my partner. It is called "Sea Otter".

Your kayak design is beautiful.
A great looking craft and a great name. I don't know if
I could make that choice at all, too much great stuff is out there, including the Almost Acoustic set by the JGB.

I am trying to dig out another cool site
of Ontarian stone masons and carvers. Their stacked stones ( a play with gravity) will make your hearts soar! From rocks to clouds! I aspire, my back disagrees. There are some cheats, also cool, wood forms to stack around and then remove. When found, I will append their site.
.Stonepointstudio.com . Sebago, ME. Check out some of the $$$projects and get to work! Site in down for maintenance now, we know how that is. Peace through rocks!
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
I'd love to see that.

Thanks EL for the number one
I'm trying unsuccessfully to lay off the political threads for a while. I can't hack the Bernie's shoe waving or any talk of the need for magical, charismatic 'leaders'. 'Don't follow leaders and watch the parking meters'
Yesterday we went to a non partisan demonstration. It was small but seemed to get support from the passing cars. It was about stopping our city from demolishing an historic neighborhood hub one that dates back to about 1900. Save Historic Belmont. Stop Demolishing Portland our signs read. Our corrupt Democratic city and state government is giving the developers, investors (mostly foreign) and realtors free rein to literally bulldoze whole neighborhoods including trees and build giant monstrosities that are toxic, expensive and shoddily built. This city is starting to look like the Soviet Union in the 80's. Projects for yuppie hipsters because density and no trees is environmental and progressive. yeah right.
One of the things about this demonstration I liked was that it was a coalition of several local groups that are fighting city hall about this issue along with other corporate corruption . We all exchanged information. One woman has somehow managed to arrange a meeting with our newly elected mayor. She was looking for people to come as a good showing will work better. So I'm going. I was impressed as it is possible for people to form coalition's on the left that are not under the duopoly but are working on issues the are about getting some resolution for the people who are forced to live with this anti-human planet killing world as we find it. We got a good reception from the cars who drove by. They honked waved and gave us thumbs up.
Glad to hear of your coalition and its activism, we need much
more of that. Thanks for dropping by.

Blessed Lughnassadh to you, EL!
The first of August is full of all manner of things!
Thank you for all the tasty music this morning. Jerry Garcia as a beardless infant, wow!
One minor quibble and one additional item for your lists:
Almost. Both of these are also true of the number zero.
The additional item for your lists:
1876 Colorado becomes the 38th State to join the Union when President Ulysses S. Grant signs its
Statehood Proclamation into law.
Thank you for all the work you put into this, EL!!
