Portland Area C99 Meetup for August.

Mentioned this in the Open Thread, but I don't think anybody read it, so... Smile

Meetup. It's post convention, last one was a blast and we need a nice place to vent. Lucky Lab was a blast last time, and it's nice and convenient for me, so I'm nominating it as the location once again.

While I'd love the 6th, the 13th seems a bit better for giving folks time to schedule.

12 noon again? Heck, worked last time, so might as well suggest a proven time.

If interested, Comments are open, and we'll start working on this. Because stepping away from the media blitz is always therapeutic.

I have a softball game on the 6th...maybe one on the 13th too if we're in the playoffs but the timing should work.

Speaking of softball....shaz and I discuss the merits of local ball vs big time professional sports and we agree that actually getting out and playing, trying to do your best and if you win, great, and if you lose, that's ok too, is superior to watching pro athletes (who might be chemically enhanced).

They're neo-tribalism with a healthy dose of the Lottery Mentality thrown in. "Some Day, I will be a Millionaire..." the dream of far too many poor kids. Course, Rappers, American Idol, and the ACTUAL Lottery also feed into that.

But that's MY rant and a long story. Smile

Hola, I'd love to attend or drop by but so not sure of any of our work schedules. Too much is up in the air right now - and not all of it is bad. Much is mostly just stuff with my son, the more indy he becomes - the more support and footwork is involved.

But I will try to make it. Just didn't want to add any days or chime in because I have zero clue about what is coming up.

So many tell me: "there's a light at the end of the tunnel."
Me: "Yeah, I know. A fucking train."
