I'd missed this last week:

Comey’s FBI Helped Convict Navy Reservist who “Handled Classified Materials Inappropriately”

Similar offenses, vastly different outcome. The key factor, of course, is that one subject is a regular Joe without Clinton-like political connections. His name is Bryan H. Nishimura and last July he pleaded guilty to unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials after the FBI found such materials were copied and stored in at least one “unauthorized and unclassified system.” Clinton had droves of classified and top secret materials in an “unauthorized and unclassified system.” Nishimura had been deployed to Afghanistan as a regional engineer for the U.S. military and had access to classified briefings and digital records that could only be retained and viewed on authorized government computers, according to the FBI announcement, which defines the reservist’s crime in the following manner; “handled classified materials inappropriately.” So did Clinton on a much larger scale.

Last July Nishimura pleaded guilty to “unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials” and was sentenced to two years of probation, a $7,500 fine and forfeiture of personal media containing classified materials. He was further ordered to permanently surrender all government security clearance. Hillary Clinton could soon have the highest security clearance available if she gets elected president making Comey’s inconceivable recommendation that “no charges are appropriate in this case” all the more outrageous. Incredibly, during his 15-minute press conference this week Comey provided details of how Clinton violated the law by exchanging dozens of email chains containing classified and top secret information and how she mishandled national defense information on her outlaw email server. The FBI director even outlined how Clinton compromised the country’s national defense to “hostile actors” yet he asserts Clinton and her cohorts didn’t intend to break the law. “Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information,” Comey said, “there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.” Enough to be criminally charged like the Navy reservist from northern California.

Pass the popcorn, please!

It helps to see them dredge up an array of angles on how what's transpired is unjust.

They are out for blood and apparently the only outfit with the guts to get it. HRC has to respond to Judge Emmet Sullivan's about JW's request for subpoena by July 18. Apparently, if I read correctly, JW actually has two ongoing suits against Medusa that have nothing to do with Money Laundering Inc, aka Clinton Global Initiative.

One question: What are the potential ramifications should there be a poor outcome for HRC? I've read a lot about the proceedings (HT to you, Gator) -- but haven't seen much about what might happen next. I imagine it's not jail time ... or is it?

At this point, I'm not sure many of us can even imagine that (no matter how deserved) given what keeps getting wiped away...

and about teflon coating from Reagan.

Funny, not sure I see anything she learned from Carter. And her wicked ways exceed those of Obama, so I doubt she learned anything from him (besides, HER glass ceiling was MUCH thicker than his, damnit!).

Clintons have no shame genes. Literally. She's now blaming the wonderful "300 staff" at State Dept.

Terrifying thought, even while at State, she was still concerned about her own political viability.

Can anyone IMAGINE what it would be like if the Clintons were back in the White House, and this time, had NO CONCERN for their political viability. Terrifying.

Is because of the amount of high government officials in this country and others that have ties to the CGI. Trying to bring that down would be too hard because of all the tentacles to people in powerful positions.
Just think about what Bill could have said to Lynch during their meeting on her plane.
She set up the emails that way so that people from her foundation could have access to it.
From Huma Abedin's deposition we know that Chelsea had access to it as well as Sidney Bluementhal who was working for the foundation and that he sent emails from Sudan that some of the information came from the NSA and they were quite pissed.
I think at one time the server was in the CGI building.
And she has repeatedly said that she never sent or received any classified emails during her time as SOS. If she didn't, then how the hell could she have done her job?
Comey said that there were 100 emails marked classified that I think he recovered from other servers or a cloud storage?
So how many didn't he recover?
Either way, since the other guy was charged with having classified documents at his home, then shouldn't Hillary have been charged for having classified information at her home and possibly at the cgi buildings? Of course she should have.
I have read numerous articles from people who used to work for the government or was a prosecutor and they all say that Comey should have recommended that she be charged.
The pay for play with foreign governments, her helping financial and other industries out that had problems with the government is another area that needs to be looked into, and maybe someone is.
But I doubt it. The Clintons are too powerful.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

"And she has repeatedly said that she never sent or received any classified emails during her time as SOS. If she didn't, then how the hell could she have done her job?"

Why hasn't anyone asked that question? It's so obvious, and she's still saying she didn't send or receive...etc.

There is no more guilty person in the USA than Hillary Clinton and this sham finding is exactly what is wrong with America, the game is rigged.

That is the danger of Trump and why he can beat Hillary because as crazy and racist as he is that does not change the fact that statements like that from him resonate, because they are true.

I opened up the comment above this one to edit it to add the parenthetical instructions and when I saved it, this showed up. Is this how it works now?

No biggie, I suppose, still a bit odd however.

I saved a comment a couple days ago and more than two dozen of them appeared...

I suspect if one accidentally double clicks when hitting save it propagates - not sure why it happens.

Happened to me yesterday evening.

Plus network error and server timed out messages.

Not to mention navigating the site having gone whacky.

I just figure the site is now, will always be Under Construction. A New Normal.

(Reading hecate is infecting my brain, I think. Another New Normal - if I imbibe the Kool-Aid.)
