When the Operation of the Machine Becomes So Odious
Another stolen election.
How many times do we have to see it?
How many times?
How much longer are we going to tolerate the corruption, tolerate the calculated deceit, tolerate massive voter suppression and rigged voting machines, tolerate chronic abuse of power and systemic obstruction of justice?
How much longer?
Four more years? Eight more years? Forty more years? Eighty more years?
Until we're past the point of no return and democracy is dead and gone? Until the only vision of the future is a corporate boot stomping on a human face forever?
When the corruption becomes so odious . . .
When the deceit becomes so odious . . .
When the voter suppression becomes so odious . . .
When the obstruction of justice becomes so odious . . .
When the fuckery never ends, when there's always more on the way, when they rub our faces in it and then rub our faces in it some more, when they high-five each other for it all over national television, when the stench of their sacrilege and their surrogates and their SuperPACs reeks to high heaven, the time has fucking come to confront those criminals.
The point has been reached when it's all so brazen, so shameless, so depraved that massive protests and civil disobedience are the only way to stop it. We have the moral responsibility to do exactly that, and that moral responsibility must be met no matter what the cost.
There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious . . .
CHECK.
Makes you so sick at heart . . .
CHECK.
That you can't take part . . .
CHECK.
You can't even passively take part . . .
CHECK.
And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears . . .
CHECK.
And upon the wheels . . .
CHECK.
Upon the levers . . .
CHECK.
Upon all the apparatus . . .
CHECK.
AND YOU'VE GOT TO MAKE IT STOP.
GO TO PHILADELPHIA.
STAND WITH BERNIE.
Because the night has come and the land is dark, because the truth is the only light still shining, because holding it high from now to November is the only way out of this . . .

precisely why i didn't want Clinton in 2008...
...nor in 2016. just because she's the last one standing doesn't mean she gets my vote. i didn't want any more Clinton drama in the White House and, yet, here we are again with all their baggage and drama. the Republicans will go for impeachment in her first year.
Bernie needs to stop Hillary.
He can stop Trump later.
Re: Baggage & Drama
This whole FBI investigation is just one more suitcase on her giant pile of baggage.
And my God! She's not even the nominee yet and I'm already tired of the drama. There's a reason it's called "Clinton Fatigue."
Love the images!
Thank you, LoneStarMike.
I am going to Philadelphia

Thank you for posting the video, GreyWolf.
Tnx for the invigorating reminder of the great Savio, Rusty1776.
Everywhere it seems people are increasingly more openly incredulous, angry and unafraid of voicing their dissatisfaction. It's all come to a head. The corruption is more naked than it's ever been. Time to take individual responsibility and act, be part of galvanizing the masses and exposing the fraud.
As someone here recently commented it would be a good idea, if this craven, sickening duopoly nominates these two most loathsome, corrupt, distrusted and vile candidates, to organize a massive #NeverHillaryorTrump rally. Part of me thinks it would be another historic event in the annals of a bizarre, unpredictable and corrupt political season. How many folks would come to such an event? I would bet quite a few. A movement to boycott the election this year, if that's the case? Been thinking about that for a while...Friend tells me of a book by Jose Saramago called "Seeing," in which the citizenry refuse to vote for the nominated candidates. Is next book I'm on the lookout for.
I am compelled to be in Philly. If folks are thinking about going, please get in touch with joe shikspack or myself. We're putting out feelers for a C99 meetup.

So does everyone!
Keep them coming, they are very much appreciated.
It's already too late
That's the conclusion I've come to, after reading "liberal" websites like Salon, Slate, NY Times, etc. TOP is just the most egregious example. People want to belong to their tribe, and they want their tribe to win and they are not about to let little things like facts and evidence and proof get in the way.
The Clintonistas, most of whom are Democrats, are absolutely no different than the Trumpeteers. They are happy inside their bubble. They've convinced themselves their candidate is not only best, but perfect. No criticism is allowed or tolerated, no matter how valid. Their minds are made up, firmly closed, and they have no intention of ever considering another perspective.
Maybe they'll wake up eventually, but by then we won't have anything resembling a free country to save. Meanwhile, those of us trying to sound the alarm are too few in number to change the narrative. We're the outsiders and the tribalists won't listen to a word we say. I am NOT advocating violence, but I now have a much greater understanding of why some resort to it.
JFK: Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
It's never too late.
Saying it's already too late means giving up. Many of us are not about to give up because that's what they are banking on. Maybe they'll wake up eventually? Really? How will they wake up - partying with themselves? They will only wake up if we wake them up and keep them awake. We've been asleep while America has been burning for 36 years. The time is now. If not now, when?

Everyone.
I've tried
Believe me, I've tried. I keep commenting, and pointing out the facts but it simply doesn't matter to them. They listened to Comey's press conference and their conclusion is that HRC was completely exonerated!
Again, these are supposedly educated Democrats. I don't know how you can influence those who are willfully blind and deaf. I was originally a John Edwards supporter in 08, but as I learned more about him, I changed my mind. These Clinton fanatics simply dismiss everything that refutes their belief in her as the only option. They justify it by saying it's all a Republican witch hunt.
I'd love to wake them up. Can you tell me how?
I understand where you're coming from, Turtle.
I just think there are times when the more resistance and denial there is, the more we have to try to break through it. The truth scares people, it always has, but we have to keep telling it.
It's too late when I'm six feet under
We are already dying on Skid Row. We are already dying in South Central, Watts, East L.A. and Compton.

Yes it should.
Thank you, mimi.
My unrealized fantasy.
I fantasized that just one news outlet that endorsed Hillary would have the balls to rescind their endorsement based on the extreme carelessness Comey outlined. After all, I reasoned, how can a person that can't protect email be considered qualified to protect the United States? Surely one tiny part of the MSM is still ethical. Alas, it was just a fantasy.
The MSM is too far gone to pay any attention to, we have to be
the media.
Surprise surprise!! AG Lynch just sided with Comey
on HRC's emails.
Odious -- good word to describe these people. Thanks for the reminder, Rusty!

You are most welcome, moneysmith.
Thanks for the Savio recitation. I crank that up every
now and then, asking each time "is it time yet?". National strikes haven't done so well here, but they've had some success over the years in Europe. Something has to be done and time just keeps drifting away.
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
So do I.
Mario Savio showed us all what to say and how to say it.
We don't need more and better Democrats, we need more and better Mario Savios.
Double post.
Now you're talking
National strikes and boycotts are the tools we must use. We must hit them economically where it really hurts them. It is the only language the oligarchs understand - diminished profits.

That's the truth.
When a long train of abuses

Damn right.
How do we stop the machine?
How do we stop the machine? Occupy the media? Occupy the agencies that are supposed to protect our rights? That's looking like the only way. Relentless occupation.
Bernie running as an Independent or Green Party would help.
But that doesn't look very likely at this point.
As we know, Bernie has emphasized that millions of people have to get directly involved in the political process, become very active from the local level up through the state and national levels. That would have at least some positive effect, but to have real change we have to get in the streets. Many of us have been saying that for 10 years, and it's still true.
