Guccifer 2.0 Round-Up
Such a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world, Except for Lola, right?
The Guccifer 2.0 Hack or Leak, whatever you want to call it, has stayed on my mind, taken up some of my attention.
There are just a few things to tie together for this as I do not really know, in the end, what is really going on.
A number of posts are from computer magazine (computerworld (1) | motherboard (2) | CSO Online (3)) some from political/news sites.(The Hill (4) | Common Dreams (5) | RT.usa (6))
There is a back-and-forth as to whether this hack was the work of "sophisticated Russian hacking teams" or all due to the one who calls himself Guccifer 2.0.
DNC Hacker Guccifer 2.0: 'Assange, Snowden, Manning Are the Heroes of the Computer Age' (5)
In the new blog post, he dismisses claims by CrowdStrike, the security firm hired by the DNC, of links to Russia: "At first I was annoyed and disappointed. But now I realize they have nothing else to say. There's no other way to justify their incompetence and failure. It's much easier for them to accuse powerful foreign special services.""This is my personal project and I'm proud of it," he adds.

The first batch of documents released by Guccifer 2.0, as Common Dreams reported, "appear to be opposition research on Republican frontrunner Donald Trump as well as lists of million-dollar-plus donations and donor contact information."
The second trove "includes research the party performed on behalf of Clinton's candidacy—months before she declared an intention to run. The documents reveal that the DNC was particularly worried about Clinton's speaking fees, her book advance, and her somewhat exacting luxury travel requirements for appearances."
Guccifer 2.0 denies Crowdstrike security knows much of anything, really:
CrowdStrike, which investigated the DNC hack, attributed it to known Russian hacker groups nicknamed Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear. Guccifer 2.0 has denied being part of those groups, or even being Russian — he has repeatedly claimed to be Romanian. But linguists that have looked at his writing question his knowledge of his purported home language.“It seems the guys from CrowdStrike and the DNC would say I’m a Russian bear even if I were a catholic nun in fact,” writes Guccifer 2.0. “At first I was annoyed and disappointed. But now I realize they have nothing else to say. There’s no other way to justify their incompetence and failure. It’s much easier for them to accuse powerful foreign special services.”
Crowdstrike, which began monitoring suspicious activity on the DNC server in April, noticed signatures of the Russian bears' methods seen in other hacks.
According to RT (6) Guccifer 2.0 reveals Clinton expenses, clues on identity & slams presidential hopefuls
Emails from March 2015, a month before Clinton announced her presidential bid, detail talking points to “defend the good work of the Foundation.”One 313-page document focuses on foreign policy arguments, using research from debates between Obama and Mitt Romney and covers all angles of foreign policy, from counter points to attacks on Romney.
Another document details donations from PACs and contact details of PAC lobbyists.
There is also a document revealing Clinton’s travel on private jets and who paid for them - big banks feature frequently in this document.
I am unsure how valuable or pertinent some of this stuff is.
Donor lists and amounts are interesting. We have had it confirmed Clinton was the nominee before she officially announced, though that merely confirms what millions already surmised.
The 6 linked pieces are all from June 30 forward, so the feshest of stuff. Much of it is regurgitated, the Common Dreams piece is probably the best overview. This piece from the Hill [Dem party hacker answers skeptics on nationality, politics] is a good overview too.
I thought it might be good to toss this out and see what folks have to say.

L-O-L-A,

But...
does Lola drink Coca Cola or does she drink Cherry Cola?
Probably depends on whether or not

I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
One issue that this touches on is HRC's speeches.
She gave her last paid speech in March 2015, only weeks before her announcement. As one cannot give paid speeches while running for office or holding office, this would be in violation of something or another. These documents seem to clearly point to just one more lie and the corrupt nature of her campaign and self.

Not certain I understand this.
Why is giving a speech weeks before declaring in violation of "something or other." Obviously parsing the law and showing no interest in the intent, but in violation?
It is conflict of interest.
HRC made a point of saying that she had quit making these paid speeches before she decided to run for the presidency. I think one of the first times she made a big deal of it was in a Town Hall with Anderson Cooper: (paraphrased) "But I hadn't made up my mind to run then."

OK. But still don't get the violation part.
Perhaps the conflict of interest, but violation of what?
Believe me, I am no fan of Hillary's, but this seems a stretch to me.
As most such stories about HRC corruption
are largely ignored, it is not surprising that most people probably missed this one:

Thanks!
This helps.

That doesn't even TOUCH on how long she'd been working on
strategy for all the SuperPACs - she and Brock had been working on that for YEARS before she declared, so her making the paid speeches while she was doing that work ought to be completely taboo. Brock's never made any bones about coordinating with her, so it's not like that did not happen.

I think much of the thinking public
understands that but finding anything that can be used for a reference would be searching for a needle buried under a mountain. She knew in 2008 that she would run again. Otherwise why go for SOS when she could make so much making speeches. Although, SOS had the advantage of letting her meet with her retail customers. Okay, answered my own question. = )

She couldn't have made so much money giving speeches
if she weren't surely going to run for president. They are paying for influence, not for her mellifluous expression. That is probably one reason she won't release the speech transcripts. She probably assures them she is running in one way or another.
So this makes me wonder whether the transcripts could be subpoenaed, perhaps by the lawsuit recently filed against the DNC. They might prove a whole shitload of campaign law violations.
Great Idea
Let's find a way to supine those speeches which I suspect are way more damaging to her than previously thought.
WindDancer
While she was SOS, Bill was making a ton of money giving speeches to the governments that her state department would then sell weapons to. And then her foundation would receive donations from those governments.
So while she could have made more money just giving speeches instead of being SOS, she made a lot of contacts with people all over the world and then the pattern would start over again.
The Clinton foundation received up to $68 million dollars in donations from foreign governments and other people who would then get Bill to get them access to foreign governments for lucrative contracts.
She was implicitly told to keep the foundation separate from her duties by congress and Obama, agreed she would, then didn't.
The gop noticed that was happening but for some reason did nothing about it. Then.
And she has said that the Clinton foundation will continue in the capacity if she is elected president.
After corrupting the WH by renting out the Lincoln bedroom, she is going to corrupt the office of the presidency.
There were problems with running a campaign of Joy while committing a genocide? Who could have guessed?

Here's some...
So, the direct link here without having to do any leg work is that am fairly certain Brock is on this board and also runs Correct the Record which is on the record as coordinating with Hillary's campaign:

And some more...
This bit is interesting - this is one of the emails produced from her SOS trove where she's responding to Blumenthal having sent to her in 2010 an announcement of Brock starting SuperPAC American Bridge where he's doing a dry run for 2016 by gearing up for the 2012 re-election of BHO:

It’s not about you; it’s about Hillary and 2016
Said to former Deputy Assistant Secretary Raymond Maxwell, in late 2012/early 2013 by a State Department ombudsman.
Anyone remember this guy? I, unfortunately, do not, but he was placed on administrative leave for a year with no formal allegations.
Seems he happened to crash a post Benghazi document sorting (*cough) party by the above board (*gag) Clinton SOS office.
Very interesting read! And yes, she's been planning on a run for years.

And apparently the link is to a site supported by The Heritage Foundation . Maxwell is credible in my eyes. The fact he was retaliated against says it all. Knowing of the trail of bodies behind the two Clinton monsters, I'm surprised he's alive.

Somewhat exacting luxury travel requirements?
Any details? This may appear trivial, but there may be something as offensive as John Kerry ordering swiss cheese on his Phillysteak sandwich. If the facts, law and peak unfavorables don't phase her maybe her elitest Queen Diva travel demands will sink her.

Falls into the RW Neoliberal "Worship/Pretend To Be the Rich"
that, along with the purposely elusive American Dream carrot dangling in front of the average working class person and thinking he's just one Get Rich Quick scam/Ponzi scheme/pulling himself up by the bootstraps away from getting there, he might someday stop drooling and join the Big Club too. Until that day comes, he'll just keep watching all the Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous, subscribing to People Magazine and talking about what he'll do when he wins the lottery. Those few times he gets past the velvet rope to become a Very Important Person, maybe at a casino or nightclub he overpaid for such an honor, give him a taste of a world he remains enthralled to and would plot, cheat, lie and stampede anyone he has to just to attain that status, power and money so he can be the next to be envied too.
Unbridled capitalism has destroyed our ethics, compassion, humanity and dignity. Empathy is crushed in its relentless grinder, replaced by the addiction to keep acquiring more and more power, money and material goods. I work parties thrown and attended by these insufferable assholes like the Clintons, Streisand and the elite financial terrorists.
I despise how rampant this culture is in this country, and how it is propped up by advertisers, the media and not so subtly by the politicians through dog whistles and doublespeak.
My suggestion for a start is to tell everyone you know to turn off the tv, and ignore these vapid, soulless pricks, stop gawking at their lifestyles and acquisitions and don't even give them the time of day.

nice comment
I used to be a lighting tech (gaffer) and often did things like operate a Follow Spot[light] during a private concert of Reba McEntire for a banker's convention in Boston ... and while I watched the concert (as it was my job to follow the talent with my spotlight) it is quite disconcerting to see the lavishness of the luxuries bestowed on bankers and spouses ... a private concert with a high-dollar act smuggled into town, her presence never even noted in the "news" papers, with shrimp and champagne a plenty as I sweat setting-up and steering my high-intensity light source; "just one [instance of] ... pulling himself up by the bootstraps away from getting there, he might someday stop drooling and join the Big Club too."
I hear you, GreyWolf. I am both the hired act and the hired help
for these big corporate criminal fuckfests.
We could probably write a full essay on just the aspect of the nauseating lavishness of these events alone. The sheer amount of waste involved, the air of self-importance by everyone involved with their "event" (they're no longer parties anymore, that's for us peasants) and treatment of anyone not in their Club.
I've had to perform for these entitled, terminally bored, slothful, stunted adolescents who can't be bothered to lift two hands together in appreciation for the music being played by human beings.
It is so sickening to see this development of venerable acts (and quite a few not so) have to acquiesce to these private corporate parties, because they hijacked all the play Monopoly money when they held a collective gun at the govt's head and demanded to be bailed out, or else. Now they dictate that we have to grovel to their whims, just to pay our bills. All that money has been used to demean so many in so many ways, not the least of which is having the odious effect of cementing a fealty of anyone on the payroll to their criminal sector (whether banking, Big Pharma, insurance co's ,etc); the salaries and bonuses are basically hush money. It's a perverted, Dante-esque world we're living in right now.
But try as one might we each have a conscience, and Instant Karma's going to get them one way or another.

Deja Vu
When I was young the rich were not venerated. We were working class and distrusted the elites. Woody Guthrie sang about the man who "robs you with a fountain pen" and we all knew just what he was talking about. Look at movies made in the 30s and 40s and pay attention to how the rich are portrayed: usually as bumblers or as despicable graspers. The Depression was still on our minds and we hadn't forgotten who got us there. We are relearning that lesson now.
I agree with your advice about turning off the TV and paying attention to your life.
-Greed is not a virtue.
-Socialism: the radical idea of sharing.
-Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
