I will not vote for Hillary (analysis appended).

Dreamers like the story of the pebble that falls from a tiny ledge to hit a slightly larger rock that is balanced on the verge of toppling off a slightly larger ledge. If the conditions downslope are just right that tiny disturbance generates an enormous cascade.

I found President Barack Obama's endorsement of Hillary Clinton to be disturbing, so I decided to send a Message to President Barack Obama via MoveOn.org and invite those of you with a similar point of view to sign this "petition".

As of noon CDT 13 June the data reveals:
DataWithCurves.png

My first thought when I constructed the graph: The signature count data suggest an isolated population with a saturation occurring characterized by a time constant of the order 4.8 hours. Drawing the exponential fit however clearly indicates a transition from one population to a second population. The caucus99percent population responded quickly to the appeal (Rate Ratio of about 50:1, for that: I thank you all very much.) while the extra-caucus99percent population is now responding at a much lower rate.

I am thinking that I just CANT vote for HRC.

I read about the WALL now being built around the convention center in Philly. A wall to keep the rabble out... The rabble is US

it is exactly what the repubs did when the GOP convention was in NYC

Protest PENS.... and ad hoc police sweeps of anyone who even LOOKED like a protestor .. Removed from the streets and hauled off to pier 57 in plastic handcuffs.... And held there uncharged of any crime.

My 80 year, old dad in law was caught in one of those sweeps. Took my late husband calling in a favor from the Parks police forums to even find where my dad in law was taken and get him released into our custody. He had been at that pier for hours. In the hot sun with NO water... He was 80 years old and deemed a threat.

The same thing is planned for Philly

add that to the ABC story of how a generous donor to the DNC and the CLINTON FOUNDATION being given a seat on some national security council even though he has absolutely NO expertise I. That area whatsoever

Everything we have been saying about the Clinton's
Everything we have been warning would happen once she had secured the nomination IS HAPPENING

waving pictures of Donald trump in my face is just not enough to make me turn a blind eye to the reality of putting the Clinton wing back into the White House.

I now face a dilemma I have never faced before... And it's one I don't know what to do about.

Oh and message to the HRC camp...

Elizabeth Warren .. Who was AWOL when we needed her voice in the fight against BIG MONEY will not be able to "bring the Bernie supporters" into the fold. But she has thrown out her own credibility with progressives...who thought she was different but now see she is not

My 2nd worst nightmare is Hillary.

If I lived in a deep red state I might vote for Jill Stein in the Green Party. I live in California, a deep blue state. I might do the same thing. Or I might even write in Bernie.

The issue is the contested states like North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, etc.

I see no issue here. I will not vote for Hillary in any way, shape, or form. Consequences be damned. The Democratic Party will not be able to guarantee the Left vote if we just vote our beliefs. We do have somewhere else to go and that is Green or Independent. The Party and sHill really screwed up this time making everything so blatant.

War, War Never Changes - Fallout Series

The nightmare Hillary brings is more war, more resources for the military machine, and more ceding of government responsibility to corporations. Her vision is one side of a neofascist ideology. Trump's is the other side: a grotesque focus inward and casual indifference to corporate power with shades of racism. They're two minions of the same blackhearted demon, as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't vote for either of them even if I lived in a swing state. In fact, it may be more important to vote third-party in a swing state, to show democrats they really must stop thinking "vote me, at least I'm not him" is the best strategy.

only two options on the ballot in November. Senator Sanders has promised not to run as an Independent. He has also turned down overtures from the Green Party.

Its not hard to predict that Ann Kirkpatrick will run a republican light campaign for the Senate. If McCain survives his primary challenge, voters here will sent him back to the Senate. I'm in another lessor of two evils voter conundrum.

You, my daughter, and I agree on "Never Hillary" but you, and I, but not my daughter agree on "never a Libertarian". A big part of organizing progressives is that our differences tend to divide (or perhaps the word should be "fragment") rather than unite us. Funny now that works.
It is not clear to me how we can discuss issues that really matter to us all in a way that helps build a community that can be effective in today's political atmosphere.

But then nobody seems to know how our economic system really works.

The well known MoveOn.org is designed to create petitions. For the past few days I have been wondering how many people are not going to vote for Hillary. That is, given the chance to "go on record" how many would actually say, "No, I will not vote for Hillary." So, I started this "petition" to get some information that might prove to be illuminating. But to be honest I also started this "petition" with an ulterior motive as well: I examine complex phenomenon for a living, and have been curious about the connectivity of c99p to the "outside" online world. So I am watching the signature count as a function of time as a probe of the topology for getting from here to "out there" and beyond.
Initially the growth has been linear, suggesting a one dimensional topology (like the game of telephone). If the "signal" reaches the "wild" I expect to see a nonlinear transition as the character of the connections change. Finally, the number of petition signatures should "max out" with an exponential curve indicating the potential signers have become exhausted. I suppose you could say, "I have sent a message and am recording the 'ping' reports (think sonar, and I am Seaman Jones, Hunt for Red October).

I believe that comments are the most important part of petitions, so anyone signing, please add one as it shows more commitment. Particularly for these types of petitions, it is important to correct the misconception that it is only millennials backing Sanders and his/our policies.. Dome just are not interested in a Clinton kleptocracy.

My comment:

Your silence regarding the massive election fraud in this primary spoke much louder than your endorsing Clinton a month before she is the nominee. Your actions and words have told the voters you are not interested in Democracy, so your endorsement means nothing.

PS. I am far from being a millennial, and now, I am no longer a part of the Democratic Party.

The relaxation curve (exponential function with a characteristic time of 4.8 hours) is asymptotically approaching 106 which is the current signature count value. This suggests that the process has sampled nearly 100% of the available population.
Unless it finds a route out to a larger population the probe will essentially set silently accumulating signatures at ever expanding random intervals. As Spock would say, "Fascinating!"
