A proposal for C99 - perhaps a money maker.

We need an app. A GPS-like map app. One that allows us to avoid the worst states in America on a road trip.

Oklahoma
Alleybamey
South Carolina
Kansas

Aridzona might also fit, and we may need probationary status for others, every state with a teaBuggered governator.

I know an app developer. I will ask him what we could do.

He is interested.

now, we have to figure a revenue plan for us and him.

Hmmm.

Question: (this one is even more serious)

Do we cloud fund to pay for the development? Or do we donate here, and share in the resources? We have to move fast, though.

When my granddaughter was scheduled to go to Oklahoma City with her softball team, all I remembered about that state was the terrorist attack on the Murrah Building. It turns out Oklahoma City is a baseball city, full of history of the sport. The flat terrain is perfect for baseball. So, if you love baseball, you could go to OK City just for that and ignore the rest of the state.

to stop you for no reason. Especially travelers through the state. They are empowered to use new technology the OSP carries, card readers that empty your bank accounts, and credit cards, EVEN IF THEY DO NOT CHARGE YOU.

There is no recourse, there is no trial, no hearing, no charges filed. They simply rob you blind.

Sorry, but flat earth and flat heads do not attract me. They are unscrupulous thieves, mainly because their governor has driven their state into BK, much like Kansas.

If we want social change, political change, and economic change, we have to work for it. This is a start.

Not only would it have a function, it would have a message. It would spread issues and raise eyebrows, highbrows and lowbrows.

I am talking about a huge messaging possibility and for a way for tha masses of similarly minded folk to organize in a new way.

From Bisbee to Rodeo, NM, so people could still get to a decent little part of Arizona.

"I’m a human being, first and foremost, and as such I’m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.” —Malcolm X

Sure, there are bumpkins here in the outlands, but Madison is cool - at least the population is - and there are many enlightened folks scattered among the rubes. Between having the gov race in the off year, and beating up on Madison and Milwaukee in the rest of the state, the repugs eke out a slight advantage over a long neglected and depleted state dem party, and only with massive outside spending and almost complete stacking of the deck in their favor. I suspect there are people in OK or any other state that's been sold out from under its citizens by their gop crooks who will tell you the same thing.

How could you forget the worst state in the nation when it comes to police murder of non-whites and "asset forfeiture"??? Need I throw in Rick "Goodhair" Perry and Tom "Bug Spray" Delay?

I would rather go through Kansas (again! Did it once) under Gov. "Lepetomaine" Brownback or any of the other suggested states than to ever go through Texas once.

east to west, avoiding teabag govs. And I'm not sure that's the right litmus test. Take Nebraska, for example. Horribly rightwing gov (Ricketts, via Ameritrade) and a mostly Republican legislature. Well, that leg voted to end the death penalty, even overrode the gov's veto. (Now we have to vote on this in November.) Another example, the roads got so bad that Repub legislature voted to increase the gas tax to fix the roads. Again, overrode the gov on this.

The interstate (80) splices Nebraska east to west. You kind of have to come here if you want to get to anything scenic. Well, we have some cool stuff to see too, like the Sandhills, but it's more subtle to appreciate.

I don't know, I think the idea is problematic

Socially and politically Alabama is as bad as it gets in the states. However, there's more rivers here than any other state. The Mobile delta is almost as diverse as the Amazon. The only other state with more physiographic regions is CA. There are more species of trees on Lookout Mt than the entire continent of Europe. And so on...

The bad things would take a lot longer to list. So I'll stay on the positive and say there is good and bad everywhere... it is all in how you focus.
