It's happening now. Just started.

MSNBC is running with Bernie’s press conference live. His 6th presser in 7 days. Contrast with six months since Hillary held a press conference. Almost as if she is afraid of questions from journalists. Wink

Oh and the first question was from a pro-Hillary troll who claimed Bernie was "sexist" because he hasn't ended his campaign.

Can someone report on this here?

why, and now is talking about the polls showing that Bernie defeats Trump by larger numbers and some polls Hillary even loses to Trump.

Bernie attacks Trump for attacking a Mexican judge.

Now is taking questions.

He is trying to thwart Clinton's winning the nomination. As to the questioners at the press conference steamed up about his standing in Clinton's way - he should point out that they are reporters. They should be reporting the news not trying to make it.

He should also suggest that if that reporter is invested in HRC's success, they she should vote for the steaming pile of shit. That he, Bernie, has a lot of other voters that want Hillary to be plowed under forever.

was up from that first questioner, and why wouldn't she let anyone else go first before asking her stupid question?

screaming her question, so finally Bernie had no choice but to take her question when he really wanted to and tried to call on someone else. Couldn't hear it all, but Bernie's answer was great, paraphrasing, so are you saying that anyone who runs against a woman doesn't want to see a female president.

Stupid question.

up

But all the questions have to do with woman, blah, blah, super delegates, blah, blah, spoiler, blah, blah.

up

Every question so far is basically the same, asking when Bernie is going to drop out and endorse Hillary.

Now MSNBC has cut away to a Hillary interview.

"We've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty."

Answer: that's speculation.

Bernie WILL campaign in Washington, DC

Bernie is in private conversations with super delegates. No question he will get more.

If Obama endorses Hillary after tomorrow, then what? Answer: Again, it's speculation.

All press wanted to ask about was the horse race, no policy questions.

Of course Hillary has an event coming up in half an hour:

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton holds a "Get Out the Vote" event at La Fachada in Lynwood, California.

Umm, if she's already won, why is she still campaigning? Rhetorical question, of course.

still saying we can't have trump for president. I hope he's saying if this primary is stolen from him he's going to run as a Green or Indie, because Bernie, if you're going tell me I should vote for clinton I'm going to tell you to stick it up your ass.

remarks to him. After a life time of service to the rights of others, he sure doesn't deserve to be spoken to like that.

Bernie is my candidate and I listen to what he has to say and respect his ideas and views. But in this case, if he wants me to give my vote for Clinton, then I will have to respectfully decline to do so.

this place is as bad as TOP sometimes. Yeah, I'm going to go to fucking Vermont and tell Bernie to his face to stick it up his ass. It's a a figure of speech where I come from. In other words, as if it needs explaining, "no Bernie, I will not vote for clinton even if you tell me to." I'm about as sick of the fucking grammar police as I am of Clinton. That's one of the many reasons I left the orange shitpile.
But just to clarify. IF I ran into Bernie face to face and he told me I needed to vote for clinton, I would tell him, face to face, to stick it up his ass...

But seriously, I think Sanders understands his supporters are not his to control. He's been riding the wave of all the volunteer groups who carried him as much as he inspired them. His own campaign structure was often more of an impediment in states because he used old style consultants who played the game old style - top down not bottom up. I don't blame him for that structure, he had no idea the moment was ripe for a candidate who stood for something other than half-assed promises and grubbing for money from the 1%.

Whatever he decides to do after tomorrow, his supporters will make their own decisions. If I were him I'd tell Clinton to go screw herself. It's not like she is going to give him anything that will make a difference, unlike Obama who I believe was coerced into making Hillary the SoS, for the "unity." There is nothing to unify after the campaign the Clintons and the DNC ran against him. Let her beat Trump on her effing own.

Me, too. But I have never written, typed or said in real life to someone whom I respect, "Stick it up your ass."

It doesn't have anything to do with fucking grammar police. I'm sorry you don't understand that.

And if you told that to Bernie to his face, well, that's you.

up

I'll tell you where I'm coming from. If Bernie tell his supporters they should vote for clinton then my respect for him will drop immensely. And yes it has everything to do with grammar police. I stated what I would do. I never said anyone else should follow suit. It's my fucking opinion. It's my life. If you don't agree with it then fine but don't give me this whiny ass "I wouldn't tell someone I respect to stick it up their ass." I've seen statements/opinions from people here stating THEIR views that I don't agree with and guess what - I keep my nose out of it. It's their view it doesn't affect me. I grew up in a rough and tumble Local Union. The last 25 years of my career I was an elected official. I've told many people I respected, fellow Union officials, company reps and politicians a hell of a lot worse than stick it up your ass if I thought what they were doing wasn't for the good and welfare of my members.

ever to be a member of that union. In all those years, said a lot of rough things to those guys and heard a lot of rough things from them. Only heard that expression when a great deal of hate or anger was involved.

It's a hateful thing to say. Hope you don't plan on using that expression towards people here who plan to vote for Hillary, or who advocate that others do so. Cause that's not how we roll here.

FSC, probably by this weekend.

Being reported on CNN, now.

I thought that something was up--FSC declared earlier today that 8 years ago tomorrow, she threw her support behind PBO.

But, don't allow this to depress the vote, tomorrow. That's what the Administration wants. (CNN just said that PBO wants to start endorsing her openly, so he's getting impatient.)

It appears that they are strong arming Bernie. I suspect that is the reason that he held the press conference today--reassuring everyone that he would work to defeat Trump.

I don't think that he will ask his supporters to support FSC, though. I believe that he will stop short of that (out of prinicple).

I don't knowingly do something to contribute to my own demise. Therefore, I will not vote for Clinton and I've been voting Dem for decades. My rationale is the same as yours. Also, I hope the "begging" mail from the Dem elites quits coming. I'm tired of their fundraising off the scary Repubs; that's why I voted Dem for president in the past. These people need to look in the mirror at how scary they appear before sending out this silly stuff. I'm glad I finally woke up to their games. I think there are many others who see it too.

I don't know how he can make that clearer other than to say "I'm not going to endorse Clinton", which of course he cannot come right out and say it.

it would suck to have to hear it. But I can't see him finding it within himself to do so, after all the blatant, obvious shit that the DNC and the Information Networks in this country have been pulling. I do know Hillary Clinton will never get my vote. I am so damned disgusted at how this has played out, between the obvious disenfranchising of hundreds of thousands of Americans that always, always favored HER at the end of the day--to what has to be numerous and well-placed sycophants standing between her and the FBI at every turn (because you know anyone else would have been indicted already, so what's the holdup, again?)

It used to be that decent people, with even the threat of law enforcement possibly hanging over their heads, would have done the honorable thing long ago, and dropped out of the presidential primary. But apparently there's no such thing as honor in her world.

Hillary is unfit for elected office. I will never endorse Hillary Clinton for President. Internally we are discussing our options for a third party run.

This would shut down all the stupid questions about party unity.

If questioned about statements made earlier in the campaign, he can simply say he as evolved on the issue.

even if he went and made himself one to shut up the whiny partisans. I seem to have missed that whole episode where he was seen to be "finally registering as a Democrat"--truly, if he did that, I don't even know why he bothered. They're clearly cowardly, selfish, self-serving fuckwads, who finally said "We can't beat them, let's join them".

So I hope his "payback" becomes a Green Party run, or at least a big, fat endorsement for Jill Stein. She's got my vote if he's out.

I'd vote for him, of course but I doubt he'd win and then the Dems would go after him should he want to run for the Senate again in 2018.

On the other hand..

I'm not sure he will run in '18, though. I get the feeling that if he were to win the Presidency it would be for one term, ending when he'd be 78. That '18 race, should he win, would keep him in the Senate until he's 82.

I know, lots of old people stick around forever but if Bernie should decide that he doesn't want another Senate term then he could go 3rd party now.

if he can't run for the Presidency. May be he just enjoys to be free and do wild things ... you know stuff any politician can only dream of ever doing.

I just would love that. I don't want him to become one of those stone aged artifacts running around in Congress and scaring the jeebuz out of the little kids and little people. Wink

He always has been an independent. Running 3rd party and sticking his thumb in the eye of Democratic establishment would burnish his legacy for many.

Furthermore, what does "end his career" mean to someone his age? He is having a good time. What more can a person want?

Bernie Sanders has been out there representing the little people all his life. Never has he had such a big audience to spread his message. Vermont is a small state and they like what they see, but Bernie has been muzzled by the Dem elites for years. Now he has moved millions of people with his policies and caused me to demand more Progressive Dems from the Democratic party or no vote from me. Bernie has given people a taste of what the Democrats used to be like, before the party drastically changed under the Clintons. Either the Dems change or they become a smaller more insular and ineffective minority party. That's not my problem; it's their problem. I'm not running for office--they are and they need votes to win.

if he'd go for it. Regardless, I can't imagine this past run--or turning on the Democrats, after they flat-out shit all over him--would hurt him at all, given all that he has been his entire career. And at his age, he really has nothing else to lose. Frankly, if this "ends his career in the Senate", I doubt it'll break his heart. To millions, he'll be going out On Top.

I hope he keeps it up, though. He's spanked the entire Democratic Party, and that's been a long time coming. In my personal opinion, the man's a hero for even trying.

I stood a few feet from this fine man and listened to him speak to those of us who were in the overflow room when he gave his stump speech in Traverse City MI. He is a very genuine, soft spoken fatherly sort of man...one who commands an almost instant respect, and likeablity. Yeah! When he gets into it, he appears wild and wooly, but it is sad to see the MSM depict him in stock photos as a raging despot. As for his "young followers... I and my buddy are 63, and 67, and as I looked around the room a goodly number of us aging folks stood with tears in our eyes as we listened to a genuine man speaking of reality, kindness to our fellow man, woman, child, and environment.
It gravely saddens me that so many Americans can be misled by the power of the media. We are missing the chance of a lifetime in passing up a leader of Senator Sanders character and integrity.
I tire of the same old shit that people spread about his "pie in the sky" , "free stuff", "socialist" message. Leaders are idea people, who create enthusiasm....not fear, nor do they have to resort to mudslinging and demeaning their opponents. He is the first candidate in my lifetime (Carter didn't run on the same message, but a saint as well, and ostracized as openly within the Dem establishment) to present a clear goal, a dream of an America, for Americans. NO MORE WAR, UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE, ...things that other nations can achieve, but that we are incapable of in this wealthiest nation.

Damn! He has been a breath of fresh air in an arena of filth and stench. Write in Bernie
