Tulsi's debate performance continues to make waves, and as of yesterday she had more than 153,000 unique donors, with a stated goal of reaching 160,000 by this upcoming Sunday. Her rate of gain has gone from 12,000-15,000 per day in the 3 days after the debate, to 3,000 per day a few days ago, to 2,000 per day yesterday. This is still above the 500 per day average gain she had prior to the second debate.
When the Democratic Party has a debate in Detroit, of all cities, you might think that labor unions would be mentioned. Right?
But CNN was hosting these debates, and CNN sucks.

You expect Trump to lie about immigration. After all, without xenophobia and scapegoating Trump doesn't have much to sell.
But when I see even the Democrats use the term "crisis at the border" then you know the rhetoric has left the realm of reality.
I'm going to bust some myths with this essay.
Myth #1) There is an "invasion".

Good Morning!
Welcome to Tuesday’s Open Thread. As the title suggests, today’s offering is about wine. Which wine? Well, in keeping with the outdoor theme of summertime festivities, Pinot Grigio was the wine selected for this week's tasting. One of the most popular Italian wines apart from Chianti, this little grape still invites disdain from wine aficionados. Detractors of Pinot Grigio often complain that it's too "simple" a wine, while others attribute that characterization to the unfortunate practice of watering down the wine by harvesting the grapes too early. Simple, or not, I found the flavors in the Pinot Grigio's we tasted marvelously refreshing and think they would compliment any barbecue or outdoor picnic quite nicely.
There is a chance that the recession won't wait until next year to hit, but there is almost no chance that we won't be in a recession in 2020. A whole list of economic indicators are flashing red, starting with the most accurate recession forecaster of all - the yield curve.

I happened to run across this speech the other day, and it sounded so familiar that I thought I would share some quotes from it.
