Has every war started with a lie? All the US wars in my lifetime were justified by lies... the Gulf of Tonkin and the Vietnam war, WMD's and the Iraq war, the Maidan Coup in 2014 and the Ukraine proxy war, just to mention a few of the wars provoked by lies. What about the Russiagate hoax whose effect continue to this day? Then there's all the lies about the pandemic, from the real risks to the dangers associated with experimental gene therapies to the suppression of effective inexpensive treatments. While we're discussing health let's not forget the lies surrounding recommended foods and the dietary food pyramid. Since the current food pyramid was released in the 1980's obesity has more than doubled. The lies go on and on...

Afternoon folks!

I cleaned up some really cool records this week. In the blues vein there's an early 60's Freddy King compilation that turned out quite well and a direct to disk recording of soul/blues singer Howard Tate in his later-life comeback period not to mention Otis Redding's performance at Monterey Pop festival. We've got a mess of blues-rock with albums from Roy Buchanan (a later period album), a double-live album from the J. Geils Band and Rita Coolidge's first album.

After that, we've got a fine double live bluegrass album from the Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band. We finish up with a rock album from Be Bop Deluxe, a band that didn't get the attention that their talent deserved here in the states - check it out!

Does it seem as if we are lost and traveling in circles?

Today The Lever held an online show titled "Why is Joe Biden Running for Re-Election?" On it, David Sirota says: "I think when you have a contested primary it shows that that the party knows how to run a campaign." The reason the Democrats, and particularly Bernie Sanders, do not want a contested primary is because they know that Biden does not know how to run a campaign
