Third Parties

A bit over a month ago Ron Placone (comedian, movie maker, political blogger, writer, used to appear on the Jimmy Dore show, and much more) wrote a substack/blog post about why he was joining the Green Party. It's called 'Why I Chose to Green Enter'.

I found the blog post to be interesting and thought provoking and I think Placone did a very good job of explaining why, even though he's really a 'no party preference' type of voter, joining the Green Party makes sense to him at this point.

With a promised five days of warm weather, we hightailed it up to the farm.
Been here since Friday and have worked on just about everything, beginning with collecting all the fallen trees and limbs and cutting into firewood and the slack into piles to burn.
Temps in the mid 70s.

The Hill of Slane sits in sight of three ancient mounds know as the Bru'na Boinne, Newgrange, Knowth, and Dowth. These burial, ceremonial, and astronomic mounds are surrounded by large carved boulders. Also in sight, not far in the distance, is the Hill of Tara where the kings of Ireland were once crowned. Hill of Slane is traditionally regarded as the location where St Patrick lit the first Pascal Fire in 433 AD in defiance of pagan King Laoighre, the King of Tara. Legend has it Patrick's large fire on the Hill of Slane symbolized the beginning of Christianity and the end of paganism in Ireland.
