the weekly watch

Open Thread - The Weekly Watch

The year is winding down, and it's time for another weekly watch. The last few weeks Standing Rock has been the lead story, and it is still powerful. There's still plenty of news about the election and the new cabinet. Yet, somehow I'm hearing the insidious creep of American Empire as everyone is distracted by Russia and T-rump. There's the constant corporate creep into governments like Brazil. The steady US work to destabilize any country which dares to challenge corporate profit and domination. The utter lies about Syria and Russia. It is as though they (TPTB) have been licking their lips to start a war with Russia- and they can't quite give up on the idea. So, much to my regret I'm leading with the story of war and American aggression.

Hope you all had a good week. There was better, if not good, news from Standing Rock last Sunday. Time will tell. I'm proud of and glad for the protectors who are staying in the cold. The recount seems to have almost ground to a halt as T-rumps lawyers play to partisan courts that are ruling against Jill. Do you find it odd that the democrats gave in to election fraud in 2000 (FL), 2004 (OH), and this year in multiple states without a fight or even an objection? As T-rump assembles his cabinet, I think it can't get worse...and then it does. Wow folks, it looks like we're in for quite the struggle.

The Weekly Watch

Another week flies by. The media of mass distraction has everyone talking about an athlete who refuses to stand for a song honoring war and supposedly our nation. Meanwhile a duly elected president was impeached by senators fearing investigation of their own corruption a week after the world participated in Games in Brazil...and the world makes no comment on the coup. The drip of leaks continues to keep the $hill in hiding, and the media misleads folks about Jill.

The Weekly Watch

News is inherently bias. What stories do you think are most important? From my view this weeks big stories include the continuing leaks about the Clinton Foundation, Bernie's announcement of “Our Revolution” (despite his lack of support for Tim Canova), the escalation of the ongoing proxy war in Syria, and the continuation of the Brazilian coup. All that and more below... Please add your take on the week's news (or any other thoughts) in the comments.
