Afternoon folks!

On balance this week is going to be a little folkier than some others. We start off with some serious blues from Phillip Walker and Lonesome Sundown and go from there to a folkier blues with Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan and then on to Chet Atkins & Doc Watson. After that it's on to some r&b with Tracy Nelson followed by a 70's Dr. John album. Then it's back to some folk-rock with Lindisfarne and we finish off with a solo album from John Starling, vocalist and guitar player for the bluegrass band The Seldom Scene.

Afternoon folks!

This week, as usual, we've got some blues, starting off with Chicago blues guitarist Mighty Joe Young, followed by a compilation of (then) younger Chicago blues artists including impressive vocalist Valerie Wellington and slide guitarist Lil' Ed. Following that there's a Funkadelic album, followed by a bunch of blues rock and r&b albums from The Siegel-Schwall Band, Tracy Nelson and The Ikettes. After that is an album from John Prine and some bluegrass from Robin & Linda Williams.

Afternoon folks!

There's some outstanding blues this week! Starting off with an album from Robert Lockwood Jr, followed by a compilation of Chicago blues from Lacy Gibson, Big Leon Brooks and Andrew Brown. After that, we're officially old school with a compilation of jug band music - great stuff, don't miss it! Then we've got some serious r&b with Hank Ballard & The Midnighters, followed by Tracy Nelson. Finishing up we've got some country-flavored music with The Desert Rose Band and Rodney Crowell.

Afternoon folks! I hope that you're all having a great holiday weekend.

This week in the blues category there's a Jimmy Dawkins album, a UK import album from Billy Boy Arnold and a Clifton Chenier album. In the blues rock category there are live albums from Ten Years After and Johnny Winter, an album from The Electric Flag, an album from Tracy Nelson and we finish up with a some rock from The Pretty Things.
