FYI—Student debt cancelation isn’t paid for by the taxpayers, the federal government is the lender.
It’s costlier for the government to hold on to the debt.

From the very get-go, something has rubbed me wrong about the plan to cancel student loan debt. At first it was the logical disconnect with which its advocates supported their position, but now I think its nefarious intentions are relying on people's selfishness to sneak through a massive money grab.
The old politics is dead. Citizens United granted unlimited, anonymous political bribery to the transnational billionaire class. The legacy media has been conglomerated down to six companies, while the platform media companies (Google, Facebook, Twitter) have instituted censorship and banning. Sock puppets, trolls, doxers, and other slime have demolished the promise of honest intellectual internet debate.
