The winners are moderate Republicans (yes, they still exist)--not Dems, of course, because it's KS. They defeated Brownback's toadies, who are Koch toadies. This is good news. Following Koch blueprints, Brownback has gutted the state's public education, along with many other public services, in the name of tax breaks, resulting in large budget shortfalls. The consequences to the people of KS have been devastating statewide.
