Post Election Drama Continued

Things continue to get interesting - not attempting any particular narrative here, but throwing out a few possibly significant new bits that people might not (yet) be finding covered elsewhere.

A bewildering variety of claims of election abuse are popping up - from local and small-scale to international and huge.

Tulsi Accelerates

Just a very quick update. The number of new donors Tulsi has gained in the last few days has been accelerating greatly each day. She has now recorded 57,292 unique donors of the 65,000 needed for her to be in the debates. That leaves only 7,708 new donors needed, or 176 new donors per day through May 14. No question she will reach that end goal now.

Federal Judge: Bathroom Ban violated Title VII

Bradley Roberts is a police officer in Clark County, Nevada. He has worked for the Clark County School District for 20 years. He is also a transgender man.

Officials at the Clark County School District told Roberts, who was working for the District as a resource officer that since he was born female but identifies as male, he could not use either the men's or women's bathrooms at work, but would be required to use a gender neutral bathroom.

New Roolz for Philly

“The experience of the Nevada Convention demands that action be taken,” said Ray Buckley, the New Hampshire party chairman, who also serves as president of the Association of State Democratic Party Chairs.

He said every state party was “stunned and saddened” by what happened in Nevada, but that state was not alone in seeing “bad behavior” at party events.

When Politifact isn't so factual

A PolitiFact piece headlined "Allegations of fraud and misconduct at Nevada Democratic convention unfounded" is going around. I'm not going to link to it because most people have seen it, and I don't want to give it the clicks. But I spent a fair amount of time looking through it last night, and I don't think it is fair. Here are my thoughts.

Dear Norman Goldman...(and DNC) No I will not "know my place."

So my own personal I shouldn't cause of my blood pressure increase a bad habit of listening to this chucklehead. Who just pulled a TOS. And kicked me off his show because I'm a "troll for saying Democrat party instead of Democratic party"

Ridiculous to Sublime : the 2016 Dead-End Primary

I had intended to write a piece about my impressions of this year's Primaries, some possible scenarios leading to various outcomes, and posit some questions as to why we have (or have not) seen certain moves by certain camps. I can still go there; but most of this has now been tsunami'd by the events of this past week, most notably the Nevada DemConv; furthermore the news that networks will no longer be hiring Exit Pollsters for the remaining Primaries.

Location, Location, Location

Back when I lived in Arkansas (1984-2000), I would frequently be told, upon seeing outrageous behavior on the part of one of that state's citizens, "You've got to remember, This is Arkansas." As if that simple statement implied that Arkansans were not subject to the laws of the United States or the societal expectation of Planet Earth.

It frustrated me no end.

It got so I would say

Arkansas is a really beautiful place to live, except for the people who live there.

I imagine people in other places may have similar stories...or perhaps, ones that are in total opposition.

The news spins:
