President Obama has halted the drawdown of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
Three weeks ago I pointed out that the Baghdad government was increasingly unstable.
Today the crisis peaked.
If ISIS was the only crisis in Iraq, then Iraqis would be a much happier, safer people.
That should give you an idea of how bad things have gotten there.

The recent defeats by ISIS are well-known and celebrated, but the weak performance by Iraqi forces is just as significant.
