What does it say about our political system when in middle of a pandemic and depression the White House can declare war on food and health care for the poor and the opposition party has nothing to say about it?

You might think that in the middle of a pandemic, combined with a collapse of the labor market, that politicians might show a little sympathy for the working class and want them to get health care.
Obviously you don't know Oklahoma Republicans.
