The man who drove into demonstrators and counter-demonstrators in Virginia could be charged with domestic terrorism as well as with murder. Had domestic terrorism statute existed in the 1770s, the people to whom we now refer as "patriots," "Framers" and "Founders" and to whom the Brits referred as "rebels," could undoubted have been charged with that crime as well.
