Welcome to Between the Lines, my Monday Morning review of the propaganda coming out of the DOD, sifted to the essential truths that many in the military already are well aware of, but the MSM doesn't feel is newsworthy.

I admit I'm personally in a bit of a funk this week. I've had a lot of issues with my paranoia about my relationships already, and now the headlines are making me second guess nearly every relationship decision or disagreement I've had in the last 22 years.

Soldiers have a mixed reputation. This is not a statement meant to be judgemental, but rather an acknowledgement that the profession of soldier has been maligned, praised and judged based not on the profession itself, but the societal use and view of it.
