Finally, Some actual EVIDENCE of election tampering:
Hint: Not the Russians.

There are a variety of similar posts, over at JPR. One of them has this in the comments:
16. In the interview with Hannity and Assange:
December 15, 2016:
At approximately 4:05 in the interview with Hannity and Assange, they begin talking about the intrusion attempt traced back to DHS on Georgia’s election systems. Assange says he read the original FBI report when it happened, and it concluded that it was an attempt to breach the voter registration systems, not the vote counting systems. It seems to be basic identity theft.
He also said that the DHS claimed in its report at the time that the data was going to be sold online in the black markets…. “really?”, Assange says. “Is FSB (unsure what he refers to here) going to be selling voter registration records online in black markets? No, it’s almost overwhelmingly likely that it’s just identity theft.”
The nugget here is this:
Assange said that as far as the DHS-origin of the intrusions are concerned, it could be a number of things… “It could be that DHS is just testing security, and people are misusing these logs of the tests to claim there have been attempted hacks of these systems.”
So, it may be a twofer for the reasons why this intrusion happened.
Garden-variety identity theft for one. The other is to set the stage to “claim” that election systems were “hacked” by bad actors and therefore the results of said election should “be overturned”. Gosh, DHS, it sounds like YOU are one of the bad actors.
All of this would be supremely useful for those wishing to remain in power, would it not? It seems that we are being “regime changed” in our own country, one month after the election.
Comments
I am still getting warning sounds about the existence of Assange
Apparently, in previous interviews he says 'um' as a spacer much more than in this interview. And there are now voice-cloning apps available. It would be nice to see him with an early edition of a newspaper from London.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Sounds exactly
like himself to me.
The FSB is the Russian successor to the KGB
His point is that Russian government sponsored hackers would not steal voter records because they would be of no value to them. There are a lot of criminal hackers in Russia on the other hand that might be able to sell the information.
So, if the Establishment does manage to flip this election
By outing the vulnerabilities of our electronic voting machines as evidence, aren't they setting a precedent for election integrity activists, and the wider public sector, to use in the future against hackable voting machines?

I suppose. Although, I'm getting real tired of scraping off the shit on my sandwiches.

As I and others have been saying
This whole 'Russia interfered with the election' is just more government propaganda to get people behind the upcoming war with Russia. And people are falling for it. Again.
How many times has the government played this game only to be caught out lying?
The propaganda started back in the 1800's with the sinking of the Maine
This article is a great read about what the military has been and is doing as they and NATO get ready for war.
When were the emails 'hacked' and posted online?
The war with Russia has been in the planning stages since last year long before the emails were posted.
Obama says that it's because of Russia's aggression, but I haven't seen Russia invading countries like the USA has been doing since the pilgrims landed.
Yes Russia defended its base in Crimea which had been there for decades and I'm sure that if one of our military bases was threatened our country would do the same thing.
This article shows that the war was being planned in March well before the emails were posted.

This is rich coming from Obama, isn't it?
Of course it's okay for our government to interfere with other countries elections like Hillary's state department did in Haiti.
Oh just overthrow the elected governments that won't do the US' bidding and then install brutal dictators who then commit heinous human rights violations while as long as the dictator does what the US tells them to do, the US has no problem with their actions.
The first coup by the CIA was removing Iran's president and installing the Shah of Iran. And that was done for Rockefeller's Standard oil and the British monarchy which then became BP oil.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but wanted to add the proof that the war with Russia has nothing to do with the election.
Both articles are a good read.

I have seen some people understanding the propaganda, but most people are buying it.
If Trump can stop the war with Russia then that will probably be the only good thing that comes from his presidency. Or has the military become too powerful for anyone to stop it?
We know that if Hillary had been elected she would have created a no fly zone over Syria which along with the build up of troops would definitely start WWWIII.

Harris is unburdened of speaking going forward.
They won't be able to
start a war with Russia unless Trump OKs it. And right now it doesn't seem likely that he will, judging by his appointment of Tillerson for SoS, and various other pro-Russian statements he has made.
Clinton, Obama, and the corporate media keep yammering on and on about a Russian threat, but nobody is really buying it. I have no idea what they hope to accomplish with all their scaremongering, unless it's meant to overturn the election. But that ain't gonna happen.

I wouldn't say nobody's buying it.
A surprisingly large number of Democrats, particularly Hillary supporters, seem to be buying it quite well.
Maybe so, but if they're buying
into that story, they're investing in worthless intellectual property. Assuming relations between the US and Russia start to become normalized, it should soon become apparent to these Dem-hawks that they've been sold a fraudulent bill of goods. In fact Russia has been posing no threat to the USA whatsoever. Rather we have been threatening them, and the only thing needed to establish peaceful relations between the two nations, is for us to stop doing that.

Native, did you read in my comment that the USA and NATO
have been building up for war with Russia for over a year or read any of the links I provided?
Of course Russia isn't threatening this country, but Obama, Kerry and others are accusing Russia of being aggressive.
I put that in my comment too.
For over a year there has been a buildup of troops in 20 countries surrounding Russia and Obama has moved defense missles in a few of those countries.
Why would he think he needed to do that if they weren't going to start some type of military action?
There has been talk about using mini nuclear weapons and others have said that they think they can survive using full nuclear weapons.
The defense missles would prevent Russia from launching nuclear weapons from Russia, but not from other places they have nuclear weapons in or from their submarines.
Please don't down play what is happening in Europe or the increasing propaganda about Russia interfering with the election.
Obama stated today that retaliation against Russia could happen any time in the future.
Yes Trump is friendly towards Russia, but how much control does a president have over the military?
Obama told the military to stand down in allappo, yet Ash Carter from the pentagon was the person in charge of breaking the cease fire in Syria and he gave the order to attack the Syrian army which killed over 60 Syrian troops and then that allowed is illegal to take the city and airport that the Syrian army had held for over two years.
And after Carter defied Obama's orders, what happened to Carter? Not a damned thing.
I hope you are right and I'm wrong, but I have been following this for over a year.
Joe posted a link to consortium news in the EBs tonight, follow the link then go to the home page and read some of the articles there.

I am very much aware
of the danger, and of the military build-up on Russia's borders. And it's true that Ash Carter seems to have gone off the reservation by attacking Dier Ezzor. But in terms of foreign policy, Obama is a wuss who doesn't know what the hell he's doing, he never has. He has been a fickle, incurious, and easily manipulated Commander in Chief.
However crazy Trump may be, I do not think he will allow himself to be be bullied by the neocon war hawks. So I think we dodged a bullet when Hillary lost the election to him. We are almost certainly in much less danger of a war with Russia now, than we were a month ago. Trump's belligerence toward China and Iran will pose different sets of problems, but they probably won't be quite so immediately existential.
I do read practically all your comments, and rec almost every one. I also follow joe's roundups closely... they are invaluable. I'm a regular reader at Moon of Alabama, and Sic Semper Tyrannis, both sites you are likely to be already aware of.

My theory is to prevent detente with Russians
Poison the current relationship so much detente is not possible and to set up gop as Kremlin lackies in 2018 election. Lots of BIG money riding on whether detente happens. Recently Trump said no more regime change--imagine the money, power, influence if that goes away. No more spending half a billion on three guys in Syria to fight Assad.
That would explain
their possible motivations. But clearly Putin desires detente -- and so does Trump. I see a deal just waiting to be made that could benefit both nations enormously.
Beware of neocons & neolibs bearing monkey wrenches!

There is a certain level of insanity in this.
Regardless of what we may think about Trump, democrats and others are condemning somebody for wanting to make peace. That so many people want a military confrontation with a country which has not killed our citizens, not bombed our cities, not closed down our churches, censored our press, etc etc. The democrats need some self reflection in the presidents who have done the most for stability have been Nixon and Reagan in recent years. I credit Obama for the Iranian deal and Syrian chem removal, but ironically the democrats in particular want aggression toward the country instrumental for the deals which Obama made.
Our long Clinton nightmare
is over. Monday they vote for The Donald and that is that. There is no way back to the Village for HRC.

It would be to Russia's advantage to remain calm for now.
After January 20, they can assess the situation again.
BTW, has Obama gone insane? He's been doing some really stupid stuff for a year now.
Life is strong. I'm weak, but Life is strong.
I don't know that he's insane
but methinks some people have some serious dirt on him and he's behaving accordingly to protect his 'legacy'. Legacy of shame would be more like it.

I'm thinking he's always been this way
but we are really noticing it now because we're P.B. (post-Bernie).
I get all of these e-mails now: oppose Trump's pick for SOS, AG, etc., etc., ad nauseam. I started thinking, "Why didn't we do this with Obama's terrible cabinet?"
It's because we're now P.B.
