(OOPS!) As news of Trump’s taxes broke, he goes off script at a rally in Pennsylvania

MANHEIM, Pa. — Donald Trump's campaign announced Saturday evening that the candidate would soon deliver a nine-sentence critique of comments Hillary Clinton made months ago about many of the millennials supporting her primary rival, Bernie Sanders. It was an attempt to latch onto a new headline in hopes of finally escaping the controversies that had consumed his week.

*

It took Trump nearly 25 minutes to read the brief statement because he kept going off on one angry tangent after another — ignoring his teleprompters and accusing Clinton of not being “loyal” to her husband, imitating her buckling at a memorial service last month, suggesting that she is “crazy” and saying she should be in prison. He urged his mostly white crowd of supporters to go to polling places in "certain areas" on Election Day to "watch" the voters there. He also repeatedly complained about having a "bum mic" at the first presidential debate and wondered if he should have done another season of “The Apprentice.”

As Trump ranted in this rural Pennsylvania town, The New York Times reported it had anonymously received Trump’s 1995 income tax returns, which show he declared a loss of $916 million -- a loss that he could use to avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years.

The evening capped one of Trump's worst weeks of the campaign season, one that started with his shaky debate performance on Monday night and went on to include a public feud with a former beauty queen, a middle-of-the-night tweet storm, attacks on the Clintons' marriage and an examination of an decades-old adult film that briefly featured Trump fully clothed.

Somehow I don't think I'll ever believe that this election wasn't rigged for Clinton. It's almost impossible to believe that it just so happens that a guy this disgusting and low-rent would 'miraculously' be the opponent of the worst candidate the Democrats ever nominated for anything in its entire history. Either that or this nation's collective Karma is catching up with us. Unfortunately we'll all pay for the sins our what our 'betters' have done.

EDIT: I just came back to read this thread for the first time and I see I somehow screwed up and lost a line that I had put at the end. I wonder how I do that, I've done it before. Anyway, here it is:

If the NYT has the tax return, they need to make it public. This is the newspaper that gave us Judy Miller after all.

Am still looking for any credible evidence that Dan Rolle is correct and NGP Van can over-write the county/state voter rolls - I'd shrug it off as CT, but so much else I would have previously believe was CT has been as actual as it comes this year.

kind that would sell his own mother to get ahead.

Or, you know, throw an election for good friends. For a price, of course.

Thus, you've answered your own conundrum:

. It's almost impossible to believe that it just so happens that a guy this disgusting and low-rent would 'miraculously' be the opponent of the worst candidate the Democrats ever nominated for anything in its entire history.

Six months ago, he could do no wrong. So yeah, this has been rigged all along, and one of the rigs is Trump, who was never supposed to win the nomination.

The debate commission finally admitted it almost a week after the debate. See: Debate commission: Trump did have microphone problems

Just like they did on us so many times. Now when I hear that, I believe what he says until proven otherwise. Media (part of Dem Machine) poo pooed it by saying that the TV audience heard him, so not being heard in the hall was no biggie.

But sound problems in the local area are what affect speakers. They have no way of knowing that the TV audience is not hearing the same cutouts and crackles and volume problems that the local audience is experiencing.

Like you, I'm in the believe what Trump says until proven otherwise. The MSM is so in the tank for Clinton that they can't be trusted not to lie about what he says and does.

Trump is a bullying clown who uses racism, misogyny, and fear to motivate voters. He would be trailing any decent Democratic candidate by 20% or more. Unfortunately for the U.S. and the world, his opponent is the loathsome Hillary Clinton, possibly the sole Democrat who could actually lose to Donald Trump.

I think of this election as being akin to playing Russian Roulette with a double-barreled shotgun with both barrels loaded. In future dictionaries, the term "no-win situation" will have the 2016 election as definition #1.

Or they already have, or some such bullshit. They are also hacking our voting system, or some such other bullshit because Putin wants Trump to win.

More propaganda. This way, when the DNC pulls the voter purge again, or other smelly crap, they can blame it on the Russians. God, it screams volumes about their candidate if the only way she can win is by cheating and fraud.

They're gonna steal our land and rape our wimmen!

What's saddest is how many people actually believe the nonsense Democrats are putting out about Russia. I've been in the computer industry for over 40 years. The hacks we've experienced have all the hallmarks of criminal hackers, not governments. They're after personal information and financial information, stuff that can be used for identity fraud and credit card fraud. Any juicy political stuff was merely incidental and is being leaked as an afterthought by the criminal gangs, perhaps at a tidy profit to them.

Though they apparently have to cage the crowds in so they don't run away...

which, as we learned in the primaries, has about as much credibility covering a campaign as Drudge. Pure Hillary agitprop to hide the fact that Trump was attacking her for her comments about Bernie supporters.

Does sound like Trump has decided to ratchet up the schtick however (this is, after all, a base turnout election), which in turn means the pearl clutching on her side is also bound to get ever tighter.

Can't wait for October to be over.

The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
