We need an "Article 50" equivalent.

As England moves inexorably toward triggering Article 50 many are seeing an opportunity to revisit the issue of what is a European Union. A problem, for example, is that the members gave up an important aspect of their sovereignty without the protection of having a true union. Our monetary system depends upon a creation of money algorithm that cannot exist in the EU as it is presently constituted. But that is just one aspect of their problems, so I would rather not dig into that can of worms. Suffice to say: The next few months could result is a very much better EU.

If we could do something to invalidate the general election, maybe then we could have an honest discussion about how to fix this process. Bernie has started the discussion, but via various techniques most of the important points are going to be disregarded in the end.

I have to agree with my daughter on this one: We need to generate a real "attack on our government" and the most vulnerable point to apply pressure is by disrupting the established (establishment's) electoral process.

and according to Palast have plans for Nov. The red states have united to strip voters with the same name from the rolls (just in case people are double voting). This is especially effective for POC.

Pocketbook issues might be more persuasive to TPTB. Something aimed at the market or value of the dollar like a gas boycott, WalMart walkout, or something that hits 'em in their pocketbook. That gets their attention.

They already know how to strip and flip your vote.

“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

If a week or two before the elections, their emachine warehouses all burned down. If people started legal procedures NOW to preemptively protect our electoral process, if activists took direct action against the people responsible for the primary fiascoes and started making sure there were
A: Plenty of voting stations
B: Plenty of poll workers - WE volunteer. WE make sure EVERYONE votes, FUCK their rules to suppress voters. You're here? You fucking VOTE.

I hear bigots can't drive cars with slashed tires better than anyone else. In the southern states, identify the southern assholes running the show and disrupt their entire lives.

I could probably think of more things we can do, but my point is don't give up, this fight is FAR from over.

It's just begun.

Of course Medusa has already started a bad precedent, even before Pres2016. I can't condone violence to property, although that's what the 1% continually do.

In addition to those you mention, the MSM needs a good kick in the pants. Cancelling cable service, subscriptions to the NY Times/Washington Post etc. to get them to objectively report the news would be effective IMO.

the technocratic elites in the UK allowed the Brexit vote to happen in the first place. I don't know all the details about it, but usually the neoliberals don't want their system to go up for a vote....

A large fraction of Conservatives wanted to leave the EU. Cameron gambled that he could have a referendum, pleasing his disgruntled rank and file party members and that the result would be a "remain" vote (with Labour, LibDems [remember them] and SNP voting to stay) and it would be out of his hair for a decade or so. The neoliberals thought they would win until about half way through the vote counting. Britain has paper ballots that are hand counted so there was no way for them to rig the election.

your daughter is right, but just knowing how TPTB are about "word usage", and with all the fake terror crap, I'd watch calling it an 'attack" on anything.

I've spent the last couple days trying to find a way to get it delayed until we know all ballots will be counted. This is why it is critical for all of us to get in on that DNC lawsuit, that's an arm of the fight that might come in real handy.
